✭✭✭✭✭I knew people who run that addon, but most turned it off since it is rude to anyone who doesn't play along.
Some people enjoy that kind of humor - it's why addons like Hodor have the 'toxic mode' that gives you tongue-in-cheek death recaps. However, that style of humor is not universal and can actually make things very toxic very quickly.
I'm one of those people who find it incredibly rude. I will block anyone immediately and without question if they do that to me. I usually feel bad enough judging myself, I don't need other people to judge me as well.4 -

I honestly can't understand how people could be offended over this, just reply in kind and send them something equally out there. This is certainly not something I'd ever consider toxic.
Just reply them with a lemon or banana or something, or a message about soul perusal royalties.

That said....I guess I would ask....should resurrections of other players still cost a soul gem? They are really easy to get, take up space in the inventory and likely only exist because if you play an Elder Scrolls game, you EXPECT them to be there.
It is a small thing; but, I suspect the amusement is partially to point out that its nothing more than Elder Scrolls game flavor.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Why are people assuming this is used by healers? Surviving DPS should be rezing the fallen while the healer keeps them alive. The healer doesn't have time to be messing with your corpse. Obviously you did something wrong and no longer deserve the healers attention.
I would be tempted to send an empty soul gem but would probably just ignore the message.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."2 -

While yes, the other DPS should be rezzing when possible, to automatically assume anyone who dies did something "wrong" and no longer deserves healing is itself kind of a toxic mindset.
