Looking online, some people will reduce their screen brightness or the in-game gamma settings when they do group content to cut down on the brightness.
It would be nice to have more control, of course. I imagine most tanks would disable those Daedroths right away.

Is this on consoles? Either way, reducing brightness for specific moments is rather bad practice.
And while we are at it - as well turn off most of the effects of apex mounts - sound and particles - and stop the glow of stuff, that is all overdone and kills the original character ESO once had - an option to switch the rendering of these things off - which wouldn't have any effect on how others see it - would be welcome.

This too!
The only other MMO I ever played aside from ESO (the FIRST MMO I actually ever played) was Perfect World, and in our crappy computer, we had a toggle to make player characters (except for my own) generic. They'd all have basic horses and a gray robe outfit with hidden customization.
VaranisArano it seems that the additional ally effects are a PC thing only and are not available on consoles, I just verified going through every option available.

Huh, that's bizarre. Sorry, I'd tried to check and only just now found Gina Bruno advising someone to use the option, only to be told thanks, but that option doesn't exist on Xbox.
I wonder why ZOS added it to PC and not console?

I think it's for the same reason usually pc games have graphic settings but consoles don't, and that option is probably in that category. Considering that the xbox series has a graphics option of fidelity/performance, now I'm even more curious why can't we get individual settings like in PC.
