Dolmen 4.0 is boring

I mostly like geysers and dragons,I think dragon hunting is fun sometimes.

Dragons are the only unique "dolmen" mechanic they've done after the original dolmen. Everything else is just a trivialized matter of attacking swarms of enemies until the big enemy comes out--which dies in a few seconds. Dragons will always kill people and take several people to bring down.

They said on stream that it will be similar to geysers but not the same - there should be some "gimmick" but we don't know yet what that mean and you already hate it :P Maybe this "gimmick" will total fun changer for better - you can't know that right now. I don't have high expectations but complaining after one screenshot and couple sentences is just a bit too early, don't you think?

The chapter isn't out yet-- not even on PTS-- yet some people are already passing judgment on the new "dolmens" without having given them even a single try yet? o_O

It is now clear that this chapter is empty. not a single combat skill, not a single profession ..

Because those are the only things that prevent a chapter from being "empty"? Sheesh, that seems pretty extreme.

So is charging us a minimum of $40 USD for the experience. If they are going to scale back the content they could at least scale back the price.

I am starting to dislike how some people at ZOS copy paste concepts for quite some time. They figured out a "golden rule" that worked, like they did with Morrowind and Summerset, and after those chapters, they keep repeating the same patterns.

For me Harrowstorms were something frustrating... and felt too much, like much stronger than Molag Bal's dolmens which should be like doomsday devices from a Daedric Prince, not wichcraft like harrowstorms. But I digress...

Having an other dolmen under a different skin does not add anything new. It's not exciting, everyone knows the drill, you do this while watching tv. Dragons were much more exciting tbh.

Why not some points where Maomer pirates invade and instead of a vulcanic dolmen, people have to stop a mega storm/tidal wave spell? Much more into the lore of the chapter. And 2 of these "dolmens" could be on ships or on sinking platforms with cool mechanics.

No. No its not. This aint Year 1 here were talking about. ZOS is pretty damn predictable here. We know because its been 8 years of this. What exactly do we need to hold out our judgement for? What special unique approach to Dolmens do you think this is going to take? Because lets be honest. If ZOS actually had something worth talking about. Theyd have done it. The fact that they glossed right over this is all we need to know about what we are getting.

Agree, just new dolmens would be pretty boring indeed.

    Something new would be great.

Dolmens 5.0 pve castle siege! Storm the gates, sneak through the sewers, scale the walls while vertically dodging dangers being dropped at you. Pantherfang Chapel sized castles. Reaching the final boss ports everyone participating to the boss room so no one misses out. 50% credit is the boss and the other half is what you did during the siege so people who sat around doing nothing just waiting on boss port get lesser quality loot than those that contributed.

This sounds like a good idea for a public dungeon experience instead of a dolmen replacement.

TBH I just don't see how these Volcanos jive with the theme of the chapter.
Sure, there are island volcanos, especially in the mediterranean, but then you add another jungle island and knights and sea elves and it just seems a bit of a mess.

They said that these events are going to be related to and explained by the main quest storyline, so we’ll have to wait and see 🙂
