Unless someone changed their post title before I saw it? Most posts are pretty good about warning about spoilers in the title, and usually the post itself is hidden in spoilers. So people who want to be surprised are still going to be surprised. But considering the big oops that happened, I'm not surprised that everyone is hearing about what the new chapter is. Doesn't help that the dataminers were right on the money with it this time too.

The main data mining threads seem to have "Data mining" in the title, so safe to stay out of those to avoid spoilage.
However, there is a grey area here that applies to this reveal. If ZOS or Bethesda spills the beans, even if they retract, it is no longer a spoiler. It is advance information. We cannot know if such things are an accident, or an "accident" (wink wink nudge nudge).
This, it was no reason to add the files to this patch, they could just waited an week,phaneub17_ESO wrote: »They could have not included any of the data into the patch files at all or patched it a day to a week after the reveal, this time they decided to push the patch date from a usual Monday to a Thursday. Gina's word on datamined content I am very grateful that ZOS allows this. That's ok though because if they did anything wrong ZOS can fix them.
The reason the files were added to the client this morning is because later today the Crown Store will update and show something like this for the upcoming chapter. This, it was no reason to add the files to this patch, they could just waited an week,phaneub17_ESO wrote: »They could have not included any of the data into the patch files at all or patched it a day to a week after the reveal, this time they decided to push the patch date from a usual Monday to a Thursday. And the chapter is still 4 months away first we get the dungeons.
This was done to build hype, I say its a bit bland like blackwood.

I don't disagree with this. Any spoilers should have SPOILERS or DATAMINE in the title and no privileged information. While I could avoid reading spoiler threads, I can't avoid seeing the information shamelessly plastered at the top of the page.

You must of missed it this morning, there were titles of the chapter's name on several post, clearly written as spoilers on the front page. They were written to get exposure, more than likely to gain up votes, The titles now have either been changed by the poster or by the mods, either way, it's just bad form.

ZOS announced it yesterday in a Tweet. A mistake? Probably, but the genie is out of the proverbial bottle, at that point. Today, we are talking about information released by ZOS yesterday.

Doesn't make it right, again, how hard is it to type spoiler in a head line? Answer...it's not. It's bad form I say. We can argue about this all day long, I'll agree that we disagree.
Cheers
