It has Alcast written on the image, is he the one talking about it or is he just a reference for the image?

Either way it does show that the groupping up in ESO does take away the challenege, that's for sure ;)
But I guess people just want it over and done with fast to go to the next step.

He's the one who originally posted the clip on social media. The "news" article is just an explanation of what people are seeing in the clip and a little bit of information about the game, some of which is incorrect but in a way that only someone who plays the clip would be lol.

Guessing that this writer plays the game, got frustrated at the event, saw that Alcast had tweeted out the same issue and made an article about it. The person who does it may follow Alcast because they aren't that great at the game and use his builds, or at least that's my guess. The reason I think he plays is he claims that most people have 40k dps (devs have said in promotional stuff it's 5k-10k) and that only the "strongest" players can kill a world boss by themselves. That just screams mid-tier player with an Alcast build who's only semi-decent at the game, to me.

Plus it's advertisement for Alcast. Gratuitous naming, plus a video, all scream clickbait for themselves, while directing traffic to the source material. Everyone wins.

..except if you fell for a b-grade clickbait article.

    (which I did)

    [snip]

That may be, but "most people have 40k dps" isn't something I think someone who doesn't play would say. The promo figures being cited could be anyone, but getting it wrong in such a specific way (a ton of the people who use builds they find online wind up in that 35k-50k ballpark because they aren't good at weaving) hints that they do play the game.

Such is the tragic fate of Clockwork City world bosses during events. There's only 2 of them so everybody and their mother is camping them.

Pff... For a WB, during an event and probably during the "primetime" (granted, that's an assumption on my part) that's still quite slow.

At least he got to loot a corpse. :) I've been at several of those and got no loot privileges-- which was fine with me, since I still got kill-credit for the daily quest.

WBs are dropping stupid fast, with that number of players there's just no way around it lol.
Last night one Imperfect "battle" saw the poor guy going down in about 5 seconds, maybe a little less.
All I do is just try to tag him to get the credit, kinda nuts.

I'm not sure if you even need to tag the boss; I'm wondering if you still get credit for quest purposes even if you're just in the room and never had a chance to fire off a skill or click your mouse button?

I didn't. I was distracted by my puppy first time the crows showed up. Tried to get some AoE down but didn't get credit. That was first night though and there was a whole lot more players around the boss than what is in the video.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

If this was GW2 the boss would scale up with the number of players there so it would not be a trivial thing and dead in 2 seconds, but it's not GW2 sadly so..........it is what it is. :(

For these events they could at least speed up the respawn times no?
