Does Mirri ever talk about Almalexia?

“Seht likes a quick study.”
“A little present from Vivec, eh?”
“You’re a legend of Vivec!”
“I wonder how the tribunal feel about the apostles here in Clockwork City? I wonder if they even know they exist at all!”

But Almalexia? Never. I want to know why. I mean, I know why but Mirri hasn’t experienced TES3 yet so she can’t possibly know why yet.

Even when I walk into the Tribunal Temple with Mirri, NOTHING!!! I’m so curious as to why she acts like Almalexia doesn’t exist 😅

As mentioned, "Mother Morrowind has her eye on you", is one option for her level up/CP gain dialogue.

    During her first quest:
"I don't know! He's my little brother, I have to try! If—if it comes to it … end the ritual prematurely. I'd rather send Liam into the arms of Mother Morrowind than let Oblivion have him."

So no, not a lot of dialogue about Almalexia.

Truth be told, after ZOS pretty much left her out of the Tribunal event last year, she's been getting the short end of the stick. I dunno if that's because ZOS is insecure over base game zone graphics vs DLC, wants to advertise the DLC, or what.

And that's really sad...even her model is still outdated. I hope that next year we will get new chapter based on Morrowind zones which is still locked(around Vvardenfell), like Necrom and Blacklight, maybe then Alma will get some love.

I think that was just because it was an event for Vvardenfell and the Clockwork City and they needed a name for it more interesting than "Vvardenfell and Clockwork City Celebration." Almalexia didn't get a DLC zone; her main zone is Deshaan, a basegame zone. We've never had an event focusing on basegame PvE zones, likely since they don't have dailies outside of the random FG/MG/Undaunted ones and they didn't see the need to generate a bunch of dailies for one of their 15 basegame alliance zones for the purpose of a single event. Frankly before all the DLC, she was the only one of the Tribunal who got any attention whatsoever.

We're also not likely to ever see that "Tribunal" (MW/CWC) event again if they're now going to start combining Summerset in there and calling it a 'Daedric War' event, which makes a bit more sense. Someone being nitpicky could also complain that Auridon hasn't been included in any Summerset event since it's ostensibly one of the Summerset isles, but again that's for the same reason.

I've played TES III Tribunal, and I think it's pretty interesting to see Almalexia here when she's at the height of her power in full vengeful, protective Mother Morrowind mode, prior to the loss of the Heart.

I think it's a shame that because she's in the base game before the lore team really hit their stride, she didn't benefit from the same deep dives into the lore than Sotha Sil got. Vivec, of course, pulls focus in anything he's involved in. Compared to the other two, she feels underdone, like most of the base game lore compared to the DLC.

To tell the truth, I couldn't really hate her in Tribunal either. I mean, I never really expected my female Dunmer nerevarine arriving in Mournhold like, "Hello, it is I, the reincarnated hero form of your dead husband and destroyer of your divine artifactical powers!" to go over well...

She killed her husband and Chimer leader with Vivec and Sotha (only Sotha regrets), proclaimed her Living God and tried kill her husband again later (as his reincarnation) with weapon that was their wedding gift from dwemers.
Just Google "Foul murder TES". Azura cursed all chimers after that. Also Alma killed Sotha. Sorry if I can't feel empathy to this... you know who.

Okay, I heard this before but I never thought twice about it because I thought Mother Morrowind meant all the Dark Elf women and their Dumner roles in Dark Elf society (like a symbolic saying, like saying Uncle Sam could mean the US government or everyone in the military). Like how in Martyr’s Folly (SPOILERS*********)

You have to help that Dark Elf save his grandmother’s soul and the warrior’s soul too! I thought they encompassed “Mother Morrowind” for their sacrifice to maintain the Dunmer way of life and what the Dunmer stand for.

But I was wrong completely wrong! This just shows how strong confirmation biases can be!! I’m glad you pointed this out and I learned something new today 😅

    Thank you!

I have to agree with the other comments, Almalexia, although crazy and twisted and soon to be corruptible as she is, she is still part of the living Tribunal in ESO, she should be included in more events and conversations. Instead, it feels like her followers are a religious sect within the Tribunal itself, like the Hands of Almalexia or the Ordinators, or even the Maidens/Priestesses of Almalexia, they feel like a cult within the Tribunal 😬

I too feel like Mother Morrowind’s story and deeds are lacking. I just dislike her for what I know she does in TES 3, and also how she killed

    (SPOILER*****)

Vox’s son, instead of granting him mercy. She was more concerned with keeping power and silencing the outspoken versus actually being the mother of mercy.

She must have done something that would make her a hero? Or did Bethesda just want to make her into a complete villain? What does Bastian always say?

“Behind every Villain tale they’re a hero to their own story, funny that.” Paraphrasing here 😅

It’s more of a tragic story if we knew the heroic things Almalexia did versus just her evil actions. I agree, she’s evil AF, but I think the idea of the fallen hero would benefit ZOS’s and Bethesda’s wallets more. Plus, it’s actually more realistic if you have a fallen hero versus a purely evil villain

If they did make dailies for the base zone, it would interest a lot of players and would be a good way to get them to start doing dailies. They’re more likely to get DLCs and do those dailies too. Hook them with the first free dose is what I am trying to say 😅

Plus, I feel like a lot of the delves for those zones aren’t as populated as they should be…

I think Vivec in this timeline is more sympathetic and the meteor aside, the Dunmer people are living a pretty good life for Tamriel citizens. It puts the Three in a more nuanced perspective to see the good things they have accomplished in this era, to better understand the Three and why they were worshipped and not just feared. Mirri has no way of knowing of future events, so it makes sense that she has a different view of them. I too would like her to have more lines about Alma and to see more content for Almalexia.

This is a very good observation - Mirri and other Dunmer (that is, apart from the Ashlanders) only knew a fairly stable and prosperous life under the Three.

This one recalls in an early interview with the lore master that he’d like to explore more stories that feature Almalexia. Don’t know what happened to that.

Not for me. I can't ignore my knowledge from TES3 even if ESO in second era. But as Sotha said they both (Alma and Vivec) can't be someone else. It is what it is. This is their nature.
And they'll get what they deserve in the end anyway. Dramatic story.
