There is already a mechanism to automatically accept the ready check, I bet many don't check it for a reason, some of those reasons expressed here. So, if you don't like having to accept the ready check yourself than auto accept. Personal preference is a wonderful thing. BTW, I tried it and then turned it off. Nothing worse than needing a few seconds to loot a dead world boss and getting yoinked to a dungeon.

Maybe auto accept is on PC with an add-on? I manually do ready check on console because I am not aware of any other option and personally don’t think it would be something I would want if I was afk anyway.

And conclusion is? Simple: we need an option ready check OR auto ready check in game options.

I prefer having a ready check fail and wait a bit, than having an afk player porting in automatically and staying in the entrance for the whole dungeon.

They could just add a checkbox on the join queue page "[ ] Automatically accept invite".

If you marked it when joining the queue you will just automatically accept and get sucked into the activity when the whole group is ready.

And then your group will be annoyed when you aren't actually ready. Automating the ready check defeats the purpose of the check. It's there to make sure you're actually ready to do the dungeon and not AFK.

I don't think that would be as much of a problem with that solution as you do. If it was a global setting then yes, but doing it every time, then no.

It would be a problem because life is unpredictable. You might think you're going to be ready the moment the queue pops, but anything could come up in the time between you entering the queue and getting put into a group. You could very well end up needing to leave the computer and the queue dinging while you're away.

I disagree. But never the less, they could easily just put it on a 30 sec timer. As soon as any input is received by the game (keyboard/controller/mouse(with a threshold)) and you're in. If not the 30 secs times out.

Or they could, you know, just have a ready check prompt to make sure you're actually ready.

I don't understand the problem. Either you're at your keyboard/controller, ready to go, and responding to the check takes less than a second; or you're not actually ready and the check is doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

You can disagree all you like, but that doesn't change the fact that things can come up without warning and pull people away from the computer, even if at any given moment they're free.

Also, you need to keep in mind people might have pets or kids that can bump the mouse or mash the keyboard while someone is afk. Or heck, even if the person themselves is still at their computer but distracted by an important call or email or something and accidentally hit a key or move the mouse. Input from the keyboard/mouse/controller doesn't mean that input is coming from a person who is present and ready for whatever they're queueing for.

And finally, why reduce the queue time to 30 seconds? If you're too busy (or impatient) to wait a literal minute for the queue, then find friends or guildmates to queue with.

Often the ready check fails due to bugs (or undefined conditions not being met) on Zeni’s end. This has been tested and proven over and over, and is especially noticeable during the Undaunted event. Get a group of 4 friends or guildies, and get everyone in voice chat before queuing. Confirm that everyone says yes to the ready check, and watch the game error about failing the check happen over and over anyway. It’s a game issue, not a player issue.

Removing the ready check as OP suggests would avoid the coding bug issue, but as others have posted, there are valid reasons to need to delay before entering the dungeon.
