I'd rather have a failed queue then queue into a dungeon with an afk player who then has to be kicked and replaced anyway. Removing the ready check solves nothing and only creates a worse problem.

We are having to kick AFK'ers from dungeons even WITH the Ready Check... So it makes no difference...
Please just remove the Ready Check from the Activity Finder.
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I have to watch the Ready Check fail, sometimes multiple times in a row. This only wastes other people's time and causes frustration.
If you queue for something, then you should already be ready!!! You don't go stand in line at a shop, and then when it's your turn to check out, just stand there pissing around and waste everyone else's time.
Just make it a notification: "Group Found. The match will begin in 5 seconds..." or something like that.
[Edit for Edit]
But 5-10 seconds should be plenty of time to finish whatever it is you're doing. Also your surveys etc. will still be there and when the activity is over it'll put you back exactly where you were before entering.PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »If the queues were short, sure, but when you're regularly in 30 minute queues you learn to do other things, and some of them might need more than 5 seconds to resolve reasonably. I understand about long queue wait times, and that is the topic of another discussion lol. But 5-10 seconds should be plenty of time to finish whatever it is you're doing. PS: I also do other things while waiting for the queue. But the second it pops I'm ready to go, because I don't like wasting other people's time in-game.

Also agree that a loud sound when it pops is really needed. There are audible notifications for everything else
Not always. There are numerous surveys where the nodes are spread out and/or hard to find. It's one of the biggest gripes with Greymoor's surveys, that they're spread out so much and that some of the nodes can be hard to find because they're halfway under the map.And surveys can easily be finished in the time allotted before you have to hit ready. Picking up six things all right near each other takes very little time.
