No more $ from me until cyrodiil performance actually improves consistently.

The announcement posted yesterday was actually detrimental to my hope for improvement. It was clearly posted for primarily PR purposes, and very little of what they said is any different than what they said regarding performance in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017,2016 and 2015. Seriously, you don't have to look very hard on this forum to find the video of Matt Firor saying almost exactly the same thing back in 2015.

Yesterdays announcement convinced me that ZOS has not been honest with us about their efforts to address performance issues at any time previously, and they most likely are not being honest about it now. They're just saying what they think will result in the most damage control possible and moving on with the same business model they've always implemented.

Nothing is going to change. :'(

It feels different somehow... I actually believe them when they say they're trying to fix it this time. Just hope the architectural change makes it through smoothly with as few bumps in the road as possible. Don't wanna sacrifice one catastrophe with another.

I'm having fun, I think the balance between damage, survivability and sustain is pretty good rn and siege is in a good place too.

Performance wise I just had a fun 90 minutes with no problems whatsoever. Of course on another day it'll be laggy as hell and my game will freeze or crash 5 times in 90 minutes which gets frustrating.

I might be an outlier, but performance has never been my main issue with PvP.

It's that there is just no point to Cyrodiil. The design is from 2014 and doesn't translate well into today because the game has seen too many changes.
The map is too big, because it was designed for a lot more players. Bonuses from your alliance's performance no longer affect PvE, so there's not really an incentive to do well in your campaign - nobody cares about the scoring anymore, which is dictated by night cappers anyway. Emperorship gave access to the Imperial City, but that has long gone. Besides a few cosmetics available for those gladiator tokens, there's nothing in terms of reward you'd want to go to Cyrodiil for. If you just wanted AP for whatever reason, you're better off doing BGs.

I absolutely love the free and self-directed gameplay of Cyrodiil, but most of the time I just don't find myself doing anything worth my time. Brindle is under attack!, well, so what. Keeps flip all the time anyway, and it's not like anything is lost or gained by my alliance's performance.

Hopefully once server performance is improved (hah), we can start talking about these issues.

"Night cappers". Ummm... there are people living on the other side of the world, who like to play when the rest of you are sleeping because it's the only time we can play. Just saying.

Lmao Yes, all the 10 people on each alliance on at night are ruining the scores :D
Im an EP "night capper" and I only roll with one other, and we see like, no one, for ages, until we flag anything and usually don't get it. So uh, As much as we love taking the blame for everything, unfortunately that aint us. :D
I am demanding better customer service from Zenimax Studios.
I am demanding better and more open communication between the devs & the playerbase.

Of course. The term can be misleading, but it's ubiquitous enough that it gets my point across without going into the details of campaign populations and scoring calculations.

The point is that prime time, when most people play, doesn't really matter for the score. That's not the fault of the players but the design of the campaign.
