Bug with Alliance motifs. Anyone else have this issue?

On all my characters who are in their native alliance, I get an Alliance motif from chests in Cyrodiil on an average of one every ten chests or so. However, a character that I used an alliance change token on has looted over 200 chests in their new alliance and not received a single motif. They were able to loot motifs in their native alliance, but not the new one.
Anyone else have this problem? I know my sample survey is large enough to rule out any bad RNG.

i've kept the same Faction since 2013 beta & 2014 launch of the game, so i haven't personally experienced what you just described. *EDIT: actually @Jaraal , perhaps this is an unintended result of another working-as-intended separate but related feature: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/256723/alliance-motifs-your-alliance-only ...but since you CHANGED factions, maybe the code didn't account for your character's faction-swap yet in database? (aka an "edge case" situation)

Well, I've been killing players in other factions and show on leaderboards of my current faction, so the game knows I've changed. But I don't know why it won't let me loot motifs. I have the Treasure Hunter passive, although I don't think that matters for motifs. I can't think of anything different from my many other characters who are able to loot Alliance motifs, so I'm mostly curious if this has happened to anyone else.RIP Bosmer Nation. 4/4/14 - 2/25/19.0 -

✭✭I'd suggest buying a few Cyrodiil treasure maps and doing those. Go 0-10 on those and I can pretty much guarantee its broken- motif drop rate in Cyrodiil from map chests is something like 49.5%.
I've done something like 3000-5000 Cyrodiil maps so trust me on that.2 -

This character was made before I ever started PvP years ago. I've only really played one alliance.
Interestingly, not long after I made this post, my character started receiving motifs at a normal rate. I have a sneaking suspicion that I may have been stealth patched, and if so, thank you to whoever took the time to do it.RIP Bosmer Nation. 4/4/14 - 2/25/19.0 -
