Do you think classes have identity and are fully represented?

    Yes, classes have identity.
Each class allows the player to create their own immersion. Identity is up to you and your imagination. I’ve reinvented my main many times over with just one class. Each time a unique experience.

In your mind's eye, but not objectively.

So yes, I can live a new identity by using different colours, playing differently (my style) and "immersing" myself into that.

However, most people (as is evident by the poll results), require more than convincing themselves that things are different - they actually require things being different.

This unfortunately is not the case when you simply look at commonly used skills and sets between classes and even different roles within the same class.

You wear the same sets, use just about the same world skills, and use almost identical champion points for each of the 3 roles. The difference is some classes have better skills or passives that make them degrees better for certain roles.

Thematically, I think Sorc falls off bc the Lightning staff is so weak compared to the others and the Storm Calling skill line isn't really all that used in vet trial content at least.

I'm saying no solely cause of DK.

DK lost its identity and has slowly been regaining it. DK used to be a class about standing your ground and locking a place down. Now it is a shell of its former self. Inferno got turned into a projectile attack rather than a circular dot around yourself. Our wings were clipped. (Meanwhile sword and board gets to keep its reflecting skill, Warden gets a damage shield that prevents 3 projectiles from hurting you, and necros can use their bone armor to drag ranged enemies to them.) We still lack a proper stamina morph for flame whip. Every other class has a mag and stam spamable except for DK. DK has been killed by a thousand cuts, and the Deadlands update put a band-aid on them. I can only pray that the next update further mends their issues.

Not at all. Class design has been really bad since the beginning of the game. Basically every other remotely major MMO, from wow to FF14 to GW2 to SWTOR, has far more concrete class identity.

Some people may like this, but I think it is a very bad design choice for an online game.

Not really, especially disappoiting when going for base game classes and picking the stamina route. You end up with 2 or 3 class skill if lucky, and the rest is a repetitive copy paste of any other stamina character with the same identical weapon/fighters guild skills.

I could literally be anything and it wouldn't matter.

    Take WoW for an example:
Arms Warrior and Unholy Deathknight to be specific. Both use the same attributes, the same type of armor and weapon but yet they play so differently. Same applies to nearly all the other classes too. Even the healers and tanks have different play styles. ESO hasn't, except for an ult or a passive here and there, any of that.
