    Like some of you pointed out the "balancing" and constent fiddling with sets and stats is... i don't know how to put it. When templar finally got some love and it felt like they had an overall decent balance of the game they just had to introduce Dark convergence and the other sets. Icing on the cake is the proc sets crit, I wonder why they even disabled proc sets for a while as a test if they had plans on making them crit again.

    I freaking love this game and have played since beta but since this fall I've found myself getting so frustrated and been thinking "what is the reason?" In hindsight I know it's not a reason but REASONS why I get so mad. I pray that ZOS will improve alot of things, but hey a game that's been going strong for over 7 years is an achievement in itself and maybe the glory days have finally passed and it's time to move on

    We don't care if it is laggy, but we do care we can't get the sky shards or delves etc.
    Besides it seem to me that it is a LARGE waste of space that can be utilized better elsewhere.

    Sorry if I offend any of the pure PvP crowd here, but when all you hear is complains about the shape of PvP in the game maybe it is time to just give up and go play something else that scratches that itch and let us PvErs have more areas to explore.

    well if the main point is that the servers are basically empty then what is exactly stopping you from "exploring" Cyrodiil...?

    Basically empty != empty...

    And in a post below that one I did say that if there are only two players in cyrodiil (one being an enemy) I would find myself ganked. Becoming fodder to even one enemy player is still to much a risk for me, sorry. Either it becomes full PvE or I never go there.

    @mb10

    I wouldn't bother trying to explain things. They don't want answers. Once PvP is finally dead they can see what we experience when PvE content gets its corners cut and content becomes neglected.

    Well seeing as PvP has been on life support for many years now, according to the PvPers here, and the yearly chapters are still being released, I would say the corners being cut are not ever going to be in the PvE areas. If/When they do decide to give PvE the "neglected" treatment then the game will truly die. However, I don't think MS will allow that to happen after buying the company. They may start milking the crown store more, but they know where their income comes from and nobody kills the golden goose.

    The simple fact is that PvP is not as popular/profitable as PvE is hence why many full PvP MMOs (one just released) have either gone hybrid or just dropped the PvP aspect altogether. All I was pointing out was that when/if PvP gets removed from ESO it will free up the PvP zones for a more friendly experience.

    As I said in my first post I don't want to offend any PVPers here, but it seems I was wrong in pointing out my POV. Carry on.

    It IS NOT a fact that PvP players don't spend tons of money on the game. Most PvP die hards are cash cows for ZOS. Most PvP players have all the goodies, and buy all the expansions because ZOS puts the the latest greatest gear in the expansions. Most PvP players have a glorious mount and house they maintain. And most PvP players PvE a ton, because you have to if you want the latest greatest gear.

    And yet Zos is letting PvP die. Why else would M$ want to invest into the game if it did not have a healthy population somewhere? If you look at the last few years of chapters how many exactly have focused on PvP?

    I am sure that a few PvP players are cash cows, but by their own confessions, some in this very thread, the PvP zones are empty enough to collect skyshards in. Entering any PvE zone to collect skyshards without seeing anyone would be an insanely rare occasion and I usually play off hours.

    Also the few "whales" that play PvP, by your own admission, have bought all the goodies (past tense?) and need to play PvE to get new gear, so why should Zos (M$) invest into a PvP chapter when they already have the PvPers buying all the new chapters for new gear anyways?

    I am sure many in this thread wish very very hard that PvP gets more love eventually, but wishing for something won't make it happen. It seems to me those wishes are going to continue to be unfulfilled so long as M$ has you hooked anyways and the PvE players will continue to buy the chapters regardless.

    I have a very unpopular opinion, but new pvp content is not needed. What difference does it make in which scenery to fight? Moreover, we see that some of the players do not even want to object mods on bg`s. What kind of development of pvp content can we talk about? At the same time, new sets, rebalancing, new classes bring a lot of new things to pvp every time (not always positive).
    So I think no, new content is not at all what can save pvp now.
    We need a balance so that not only sorcerers and necromancers can play pvp.

    The fact remains, almost without exception, PvP players spend just as much if not more than the players that only PvE. Maybe this is why MS was willing to pay so much for the franchise?

    Almost without exception, PvP players also do all the PvE content. PvP is the end game. It's what to do after all the PvE content has been worked over multiple times. The people in PvP tend to be people who have played the game for at least a few years and have spent some significant bank on the game. There aren't as many PvP players, true, but it's also true that we tend to spend more money on the game than those that only PvE.

    To answer your question specifically, PvP is where the money is. I just explained why. That's why ZOS should fix it. As PvP performance has declined, so has ZOS' revenue. That's why everything costs more now days and the sales team is pushing everything 110%.

    I'm hoping that MS thinks they can fix the server and performance issues and that's why they made the purchase. After all, networking is kinda MS's thing in many ways.

    I don't think you opinion is unpopular in the least. I think it makes perfect sense. I also think there is plenty of PvP options in ESO. The problem isn't PvP options, although they really should bring back the other BG modes. Deathmatch gets redundant and deathmatch is more fun in cyrodiil anyway.

    I feel very strongly the only thing ESO needs are performance improvements. Some class balancing is in order too, as you say, but we could argue about what changes should be made in that regard for a very long time. The overall content of the game is great and keeps getting better. They just need to make everything work as advertised. That means bringing the population cap in cyro back up to at least 300/faction and having things work well with all factions pop locked.

    If MS can make ZOS make cyrodiil work, their investment will pay off in short order. If not, they just bought a lemon.

Unless these tons of rich PvP players are just draining their wallets and not playing their preferred game mode, in which case thanks for supporting the PvE community I guess.

    I find the suggestion that MS's $7.5 billion purchase of Bethesda's parent company will prove to be a lemon if Cyrodiil isn't made to work in short order quite hilarious.

    Nah everyone in cryodiil is just running the cryodiil pvp sets and never drops a penny on the game. /s

    Well if they are already "running" other sets than the PvP ones, like say the new chapter sets, why exactly does Zos (m$) need to add new PvP content when they already have the PvPers buying the PvE chapters for gear?

    Maybe for same reasons of adding new PvE content 🤔? Will the same PvE content keep you engaged 💍 to ZoS?

    We don't care if it is laggy, but we do care we can't get the sky shards or delves etc.
    Besides it seem to me that it is a LARGE waste of space that can be utilized better elsewhere.

    Sorry if I offend any of the pure PvP crowd here, but when all you hear is complains about the shape of PvP in the game maybe it is time to just give up and go play something else that scratches that itch and let us PvErs have more areas to explore.

    well if the main point is that the servers are basically empty then what is exactly stopping you from "exploring" Cyrodiil...?

    Basically empty != empty...

    Engaged? Well from a purely personal pov, I do enjoy certain aspects of the game, but that does not mean I won't leave it if they make poor decisions; I have in the past BTW. [snip]

    Yes, my PvP toon is stamplar and the Plaguebreak set is a real slap in the face. My guild mates say “don’t purge!” and it’s part of my rotation...it’s how I survive in PvP...so I guess that just start spamming Vigor then?

    No there was no assumption made towards your Fandom. We are all fans or we would not be present. I don't bait people that play through same game I like, I only bait fishing polls. My point was, PvE players would leave if ZoS stopped making new fun PvE. It's the same for PvP players. Rp players are the real heroes though. They make their own content. 🙃
