You guys need to calm down on the class "balance" changes

Patch: X class is overperforming, zos nerfs it into the ground.

Next patch: Y class is underperforming, zos elevates it to god mode.

Next patch: Y class is god mode, zos nerfs it into the ground. Z class is balanced, so zos nerfs it.

Next patch: X class is too nerfed, so let's barely revert them so it is only sort of nerfed into the ground.

Next patch: Z class is now shockingly underperforming, zos buffs it too much.

Next patch: Z class was buffed too much so now zos nerfs it too much.

And so on and so forth.

The goal is for class balance to get better not swing the pendulum wildly back and forth in the name of "balance".

Agreed 1000000%. So tired of everything changing so much every patch. It's absurd. Honestly though we all farm all the new sets they just made overpowered, which takes time. The more time you play the more money they stand to make.

The problem is, they wreck their own train every major content release.

There's always some OP meta gear or mythic required whose sole intent is to sell the content. Then they follow up and try to balance it back out vs base game and the builds people make as a result.

They're never going to settle it when they are the ones that create the differential in the first place.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

The DK changes seem modest from a PvE perspective.

Rarely are both aspects of the game considered at the same time.

Agreed, I’m trying to play something other than my magdk and just struggle to find something nearly as good.

Well to be fair for pve you have other people providing debuffs/buffs that can greatly alter the overall experience. And didn’t really have to worry about waiting on ult for an opportune time vs using it immediately for best resource gen, it’s simply a dps increase no burst needed. And cinder storm cost rework would help quite a bit in pve.

True, some classes or skills overperform but what are the "top" classes currently would be far less of an issue if underlying mechanic issues were addressed first.

Such as if you have a 4 mag comp in BGs all with a resto and radiating regen you're practically unkillable. That's the same as old vigor before it was nerfed, yet this has been unchanged for patches.

    [snip]

All good MMOs are stable. ESO is not a stable game.

Every MMO I have played that has PVP in it has this issue. There is no such thing as balance in a MMO for PVP. There are many variables to consider in ESO PVP such as gear (quality and sets worn), CP, player skill, software (addons) used, hardware (pro controller with extra buttons and rapid fire/better mouse, better keyboard), player internet connection, server ping, etc....

To many variables lead to adjustments that results in further issues as you have highlighted.

Typically over time the game developer decides that for balance everything gets simplified. That is when many good MMOs have massive player exodus. Seen it a few times now. Out of all the MMOs I have played all of the major updates Vet to CP, OT, race adjustments, & CP2.0 have improved the game.

If players continue to ask for balance we may end up losing quite a bit of our bufffs and debuffs, resource recovery may be reduced, damage adjusted downward, etc... so be careful what you ask the devs to do.
