Please ZoS give us Arox as companion!

I want to roam around tamriel with Arox screaming at my enemies. His dialogue is too awesome!

I would like a companion that is non human. Would love to have a khajiit.

Update: So I just got back into the game and noticed that your companion is the same account wide except rapport?
I love not having to level a new one, but it also makes it difficult to have different builds for each playstyle, especially as long as it takes to level a companion. I really think we need at least one more companion. One damage dealer, one tank and one healer. I mean it makes more sense. Hopefully zos brings more companions to the game.

I doubt we will see any more companions. They still have not finished the current system, unless that gear they get is not actually a placeholder and someone signed off on that as "complete". Deadlands is done with now, I would think any further development is going to go into the next "year long chapter".

Until they fix the problem with companions resetting bosses and retreating half way across the zone dragging mobs with them I don't want the companions we already have in game. I'm at the point where I would rather have a companion that refuses to fight at all and just hides making snide comments than what we have now.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

This one would love to have a khajit companion, but will be equally happy to have Arox.

Attacking enemies: “I will shred your ankles! Rip your ears into bloody pieces! Torn asunder your little finger! For I AM AROX THE MUTILATOR!”

When the vestige uses an ult: “What brilliant violence! Such fine display of awesome cruelty and senseless killing, my mortal master!”

This thread has made me realize I won't be buying the expansion for them any time soon if they are this broken. I'm always seeing them dead in all content players bring them into. Now I know why.

I'd like them to add more in the future, but I would first prefer them to expand customization of our current companions by allowing us to choose hairstyles and show helmets. I would also like them to reduce the amount of time it takes to gain rapport, and level them as well as give them their own inventory space.

I also agree they need a survivability buff.

I have a suggestion that the companions were sent for a major overhaul. The companions were greeted rather coldly by the community. They are totally useless, they are constantly dying. I understand that most likely they were planned as quest mates, but players take them to public dungeons, anchors and wb. And I think that beginners and casuals are unhappy to see that 90% of the time of the fight, the companion is dead. Moreover, most of the players misunderstood them. They are trying to make a super dd, or a tank of them. Hence such high prices for purple gear with the necessary traits. Although this was clearly planned for more casual purposes. In addition, in order to achieve high relations with him and the maximum level, you need to make not at all casual efforts. All in all, the experience with the companions is extremely disappointing. They are completely useless for the average player. They are useless even for the casual player.
When asked on stream why there are no new U32 companions, Rich replied that they want to focus on quality over quantity. And with all that said, I don't think ZoS is developing a better new companion. Most likely the system is totally reworked.

Also, I totally agree with the limited customization of the companions. Companions are full-fledged story characters with their own history and personality.

No point adding more until the whole companion system gets mature enough. As mentioned in many posts there are lots of flaws that would make adding more just a nightmare.

As it is companions are pretty useless, here is what I've figured as a use:
    1. The passive utility skill they grant is a nice little bonus, especially once they get to max level and don't actually need to summon them for it.
    2. They make a nice house guest
    3. In very, very limited situations they can help a teeny-weeny bit with survival. When you just can't burn that last 10% of a WB they may buy you a few extra seconds...
    4. I guess they could be useful for very casual, mostly clueless players who struggle with overland content - not your average forum user though

Basically none of these above really matter and the grind is real. It takes much more time to get one to max level than power leveling an alt to 50. And that still leaves out the rapport (which is f'in pointless apart from the achievements) and the skills.

So yeah, thanks but no thanks in the current way.

Aye, and one more thing... Took me a while to find but there's a setting in the menu controlling the frequency they repeat the same stuff which gets boring very fast. Should be 'infrequent' by default ;)

I was disappointed by the lack of new companions added with Deadlands. I was expecting at least one more, similar to how antiquities have expanded with each new chapter and story/zone dlc.

What do you think the future holds for the companion system? Is it two companions and done? Will we see more added with the next chapter in 2022? Will future companions be available only through the crown store? What is in store for this system?

I would have liked to have seen some new companions as well. Preferably one who doesn't get offended when you use Blade of Woe.

They also need to do enhance their AI so they are better at avoiding ground effects. That or just make them immune. Because there are certain fights where they are just useless because of that.

I'm not sure I'm up for the grind of more than 2 companions a year.

I really wish they would cut the amount of time it takes to level everything in half. :/

    They do take awhile.

What I started doing was just solo my undaunted daily dungeons with them. Grinding public dungeons is more efficient, but it gets old fast and I hate competing with other players in those.

They need at least one companion that approves of dark deeds. This virtuous thing with both companions drives me nuts, especially on my nightblade. I can't count how many accidental wings I pulled off or rats I killed while questing.

i want arox the mutilator as a companion.
He would work better as an non combat pet, no reason why they can not be voiced.
    Same with an Alfiq pet.
    Both ideas would be cool.

Now an Senche-raht who is both companion and mount would be cool,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I want the sad, lonely girl socializing only with her mother on the top floor of an Inn in, Morthal... I believe. She was an icy ghost before I found her and returned her to her original form. She's my companion, please let me retrieve her. o:)

I also want one of the Secret Society members from the beginning of Antiquarian questline in Greymoor. As we spend time together, I would like their random utterances to reveal insights into their shrouded activities.

Mirri don't mind stealing but she get angry if I use the blade of woe even against enemies she has no problem killing.
Did that in an Blackwood quest who was an rescue operation so I thought doing it stealthy made sense.

Now I don't use blade of woe that often so that is not much of an problem.

Arox should have been a companion, and not a damn houseguest, we were already aquainted, and adventuring together, it never should have ended, I still look for him in my pack....but alas my pack be empty...
He was the highlight of The Deadlands for me
