Bard houseguests

Nothing wrong with the music boxes, but I really wish I could have Malukah as a houseguest.
Has there been any plans or discussions about this, or is this something nobody really wants?

I'd love to have Daahin - other than Sereyne, the only house guest I'd use! Not too much into the other bards around, but I do love most of Malukah's songs.

I could go for a bard houseguest right about now.

It often feels like many of the biggest houses could have some stages or open diners/taverns, we definitely could use some bards.

Yes, I'd *definitely* spend crowns on that!

I was mostly curious if there was some technical limitation with this or not, because it seems like an obvious idea ever since houseguests were introduced, but I'm surprised that there have been none so far.

Or we are being conditioned to spend more and more on houseguests as it seems each one that comes out that is notable costs more and more.

I am betting bards are coming, for 5k crowns.

The old man version of Sway As We Kiss is heartbreaking, and I stop to listen each time I hear it on the wind. +1 Bard Houseguest

You know the song is about drinking, right?
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

Would absolutely drop crowns to have the Nereid singing in Fargrave doing the same in my house. But not TOO many crowns.

Getting lost in TESO Tamriel and beyond since Beta 2013!
Alliance agnostic: all factions should chill the fetch out and party together.
Mocking the false gender binary since the 1970s.
If you ever wonder why certain official fandom spaces are so often toxic and awful, remember: corruption starts from the top. ^^v

If they add a Bard class or skill line. I promis to come to your homes and sing for you.

Same! I have so many crowns and nothing to spend them in that I'd pay lots of crowns for this!

    @NotaDaedraWorshipper

Indeed. The old man version fits the actual theme of the song best, I find.

The other versions - ie. Malukah or younger man - kind of bring to mind an actual lover, instead of a bottle, IMHO.

I think most people would pay extra for a bard in your home. Especially for some of the favorite songs.

I certainly would! For Daahin, almost any amount!

A bard class would be sick! The ultimate could be a song that really buffs the hell out of players, like restoring ritual, but instead of heals, it's buffs.
Heck, maybe even a little bard's buff from just listening to normal bards in taverns, but I think that's a discussion for somewhere else.
If there's really no technical limitations to this, I would definitely spend crowns on this!

Oh yes, I love all of her songs! I already have a luxurious pavilion for her at Sleek Creek, built with hope!

I'd love this. I've long wanted to eventually make a fair/festival type of setup in one of the building-free homes. Probably Moonsugar Meadows? Anyway, a bard or two would really be perfect for this idea.

If their only function was to repeat songs indefinitely, I wouldn't pay premium for it, no. If they had player interaction and dialogue options to select songs, with additional presentation of upcoming song for any eventual audience, I might consider. :)

Maybe they could have a toggle between three options: sing/perform; dialogue; and inactive.

I'm thinking, "please sing for us/have a break" can both be dialogue options, and there can be a pathing node where they are bound to perform, so that you can have dialogue while they are out walking around and will default back to their "performance" node when asked to.

That would be awesome, more reminiscent of Skyrim. At this point I'd just be happy being able to have them as guests, anything else is just extra flavoring lol
