Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Moderators? is freedom of speech longer allowed here?

There was a thread saying the EU servers were back up, A number of us posted comments about the fact we had another 6 hours off our game time for a patch that couldn't even be implemented.

Feel free to take a look at it, The thread is still here at the moment, its called "the eu servers are back up, yeah baby!" or something similar. The reason I am posting this thread is that a moderator has closed that thread as it was "turning into an unhealthy discussion"?

Are we not allowed to discuss the fact we are annoyed by the loss of this game time for no apparent reason? is that the reason it was closed or is it a damage limitation measure to try and hide the fact you couldn't even apply a patch to your own game?

This is a genuine and serious question, I don't see justification for closing it, I dont see any forum rules being broken. Is this what is come to now? closing threads that comment on the quality of the game and the service?

Well I don't know if it's unhealthy, but crying about maintenance is certainly not helpful.

Anyway I'm going to play the game.

No, its not helpful but when we are paying for game time we have the right to feel annoyed that 6.5 hours of it was wasted.

6 hrs and no patch. The N/A server will not be brought down, so basically the EU server is the Guinea pig to save inconveniencing the N/A server. Next time, do the N/A server first, that way if there is a problem, we get our lost 6 hrs back.

You still have your oh-so-vaunted 'Freedom Of Speech'....they also have their 'Freedom To Delete Whatever They Want Off Of THEIR Server'.

It was a worthless thread with no discussion at all worth of notice.

Maybe they figured that applying the patch since it failed would cause prolonged downtime and hence they aborted the scheduled maintenance on the NA server.

Would you rather have them try to apply the patch once again and have additional downtime? I doubt it.

People seem to always complain about maintenance. Maintenance is what you are paying for in the game. Maintenance fixes those those precious bugs that we all swear about.

Yes, it sucks with the maintenance time conflicting with peoples schedule.
But this is not primetime, people who play now are in minority. I rather have the maintenance now than in 5 hours when I get back home from work.

Clearly if threads that dont break any rules are deleted or closed then we don't have freedom of speech do we.

    Let me address those points...

Would I rather they try and apply the patch again with additional downtime? No, Id rather they paid attention to the beta testers, left the game in beta longer and had a working product at release.

Maintenance is what I am paying for? No, I am paying to play the game.

I didnt mention the maintenance conflicting with my schedule, You did lol, You are the one that said you dont want it done when you are at home but those that have the morning off are not allowed to moan? nice double standards there.
