IMO, there is something almost nostalgic at this point by training horses one day at a time for new character. Of course it's a chore when you're in the middle of it, but I somehow connected a bit more with new characer when I had to "tend" to them everyday for half a year to max them. Weird, but yeah..

They only thing I would change, would be that you could also level up the speed by actually sprinting while on horseback, and train stamina by literally using the stamina, etc. At least to speed up the leveling by, say, 100%. Maybe 200%.

If not all at once then at least speed things up from the current 180 days in a row of daily riding lessons. Up to three lessons at a time. Better two months then six months.

What's the point of playing if you can just buy everything? Life is about the journey. If you can buy a fully trained horse then next you will be able to buy achievements. Log on, buy all the achievements, finished, move onto next game.

However, I'd like to be able to pay to be emperor for a day.

Actually, you might be right. In real life you probably could buy a fully trained horse.

Having to ride to the trainer from the crafting area for 180 days is a pain and adds too much time.

They won't change it though since they make enough selling the boosts for Crowns.

They decided to sell skyshards for Crowns after all. Grrrr.....

As long as you still have the option to only train one point per payment, then sure why not? If you implement ramping up costs, like you do with inventory space upgrades, I can see it working as a good gold sink. But I would like to keep it so that it's all optional; I keep slower horses on certain characters on purpose for roleplaying reasons, so having a "one click and your horse is instantly top speed trained" would get in the way of that.

All upgrades at once is too much. Maybe (max) 10 upgrades at a time, only once every 10 days (or less). It still takes almost half a year, but you don't have to login every day for every character on which you have to train your mount.

No, but one upgrade per type per day should be fair. Type being speed, stamina, and weight.

Why should I be able to walk faster than my horse? Imagine you're a new player, drop $40 on a new horse, and guess what? Goes slow. Then you have to wait 30-60 days for it to be fast enough to really get wowed by it. Au contraire, I don't see any valid argument for it to exist. It's punitive. And between endeavors, daily logins, flash sales, and guild events, I have way more positive incentives to support ESO monetarily.

That all goes out the window when you find out you get a free horse as one of the levelling rewards quite early on. To a new player with no increase sprint speed etc a basic horse is a upgrade to their mobility when they receive it.

As annoying as it is, I still see it as a right of passage for my new characters I like to celebrate when they are maxed.

I would said, strongly YES, because even on PTS where you can buy riding lessons for nothing, there is so much clicking to reach max lvl -_-

Also, i agree that this option could be a so necessary money sink this economy needs.

Last week I bought max pack for all my alts, paid probably around million, but it felt nice cause it was really useful ;)

The similar solution (instant option crown-gold) could be used for riding, but on a different scale than now.

100%. It was tedious when I levelled it up back when I was a scrub. It is probably still tedious now.

I do wonder what the purpose of this poll is. If it is to ascertain that players want things faster and easier then we already know that answer. If it is to try to convince Zenimax to make horse training instant of much faster we already know that answer because they gave us the ability to buy the training all at once via the crown store. Hence, they are not going to change up in-game horse training.

Make player sentiment visible. And I don't share the same sense futility in requesting it.

It’d be nice to have that option, but this one shudders to think how much gems/crowns that ZOS will be charging. It’s sort of like creating a problem in order to present a (costly) solution.

Timers don’t belong in a full priced game at all, especially when your main pvp zone is a horse riding simulator

The price of the game does not matter. Timers are valid across all games.

However, we should be able to do _all three_ riding skills each day, which would significantly reduce the time.

Not when the player can pay to bypass that grind, they don’t belong in full price games

They only exist to waste the players time so they get frustrated and buy macrotransactions to bypass the grind

    Possibly.

The grind preceded the microtransactions, but that does not mean that you are wrong.
