Can the Alert for Dungeon Finder queue be louder?

Too often DPS that have queued seem to be comatose. I understand their queue times are long but.. they're afk'ing and kicking everyone back out to the queue.
being at the top of the queue is not enough considering tanks and healers are already basically at the top of the queue.
So as a healer you can get bounced out of 4-5 queues in a row by 1 dps being afk.
it's such a soft easily ignored sound as it currently is. I find that it's better to be in another window so that the window in the taskbar blinks.. that's how unnoticable the sound is.
I'm sure that the dps are taking naps at their keyboards and not even noticing the current alert.

Either that or.. instead of just putting people at the top of the queue.. kick the afk and just recruit a 4th member from the next one in queue. That'll help dps queues move along too.

If you get timed out on the queue, you don't get out back at the top. It already works the way you described. There's just lots of DPS that are afk.

no it disbands the group and makes you search again.
if it was just kicking the afk and finding another one it'd be pretty short right? but instead it kicks you out and makes you stay in queue for another 10m or more sometimes, I guess tanks are harder to find than healers.

No, please, don’t make it louder unless there’s a separate control for that. I’m present, wearing headphones and sensitive to such things… They are either afk or in the middle of doing something else and either way, making the notification louder won’t make then click to join.

I know it is annoying to be all ready to go and then find that you’re back to waiting, but it does keep you first in queue (in my experience that has been working for a while now whereas in the past it might have occasionally bugged) while the person who didn’t accept the invite is out of the queue entirely.

The sound is horribly quiet on console (PS4). My auto-accept addon on the PC is MUCH better.

They just need to make the popup notification work in combat. A lot of times people miss it because they go do other things while waiting and thus don't know it's available. I agree the noise could be louder as well.

I would definitely join. The noise is so quiet I forgot it existed. I'm actually unsure what sound it's supposed to make.

If you stay busy and not just sit there dormant - the queue times seem to go by quicker. Sometimes I get queued at the most inopportune times. But there have been times when I was afk for a bit and came back and saw I was dropped from the queue. It would have been nice to have an adjustable volume for the queue notifier then.

Okay, I’m all for an option to adjust volume on notifications. Sorry if I was overly negative! I forgot about how relatively unobtrusive the notification is if you happen to be in combat. Too many notifications and alarms (outside of ESO) are too loud or otherwise obnoxious for me, some making me literally jump in my chair and drop what I was doing! A gentle chime is the most I want for everything in life, lol!

This is the case, and same for group notifications, they don’t pop (at least on PS4) if in combat, and sometimes you can get stuck in that state for a long period of time.

They did finally add a queue notification back in at least for Cyrodiil as of our last patch. It’s a sword-clanging sort of sound now. The actual soft UI button-pressing sound used to be the only thing you heard for months before.

They just have to remove the queue notifiation ready check. You queue for it, so you are ready.

It would be nice if it said which dungeon it was too. That would save a lot of people jumping in and out of dlc dungeons.

I agree, the sound's too low on console and I also would like the pop up to work in combat. The fact that I don't see it and cannot hear it when engaged in combat, makes me lose my spot often.

Am a DPS, never AFK during the queue though, because I can't hear it even with my sounds cranked sitting at the TV. Frustrating they make it so quiet. I thought it was just me, since I'm deaf in one ear, but it seems not.

Only if it comes with an account wide queue penalty (longer than normal queue penalty), to prevent cherry picking for Fungal Grotto 1.

No. Because sometimes you want to finish what you're doing and then join. The queues are long enough it's legit to do other things that can be finished quickly.

Yeah they really need to make the queue notification better. So many times when I've accidentally cancelled it because I was checking my inventory or whatever. Really fun to do that after waiting for 15 minutes. You don't want to just stare at the screen doing nothing for 10-20 minutes while waiting, so let us do stuff while on queue to pass the time or not like waste that XP scroll that is ticking down while waiting.

The popup doesn't even show up in a lot of situations, like when digging up a lead. Timing out in the background. Ohh why, ohh why.

Make the popup sound really loud and repeat it for every second it counts down.
Make the popup put itself over everything regardless of what you are doing and whatever UI page your are watching (yes even in combat. If I die I die, so what? Or even just autokill me if I'm in combat if it's so frigging important that you aren't allowed to teleport out when in combat.).
And finally add a "do you REALLY want to cancel the queue?" secondary popup with a 2 second delay before you can answer it to prevent double tapping the cancel button by mistake.

(Yes I'm really annoyed by how it works now)

    It makes me miss DBM from WoW. I could set my alert as loud as I wanted and never miss my queue because I was spending the 40 minute dps queue afk playing with my cat >.>;

Not good enough to be at the top of the queue, when you have to wait for a tank to also join queue or something.
I can get bumped into first slot at the queue and still have to wait 15-20 min... as a healer
you'd think it'd be short but it's not

It would be nice if you could make the sound a little more noticeable because it is easy to miss.

I'd also like it if they gave you the option to exit combat when your turn comes up.
