How does the Crit Damage Cap interact with Critical Resistance? Please answer

If I have, for example, 150% bonus critical damage; and they have 25% crit damage reduction, am I doing…

1) 125% critical damage because they have 25% critical damage reduction off of my 150% critical damage OR

2) 100% critical damage because 25% over the cap (at 150%) was made obsolete and they still had 25% critical damage mitigation?

    Same as over resistances values probably.

    Resistances are capped at 33k for 50% damage mitigation.

    If you have 40k physical and spell resistance and your enemy has 20k penetration, 40-20= 20k resistances.

    So the extra resistances are not "wasted" in that sense, but at 33k or 50k resistances still you mitigate a maximum of 50% damage.
