Potential Guinness World Record for ESO?

I believe Star Wars The Old Republic in 2012 earned Guinness World Record for having over 250,000 spoken lines of dialogue at launch. Considering all of ESO is voiced acted aside from your main character, and the game being as large as it is, could Elder Scrolls Online potentially have a Guinness World Record on their hands here?

Just want to emphasis this isn't a 'is one game better than the other thread', just a simple discussion regarding wether ESO could hold a new world record for having potentially, the most amount of spoken dialogue in a video game.

Ummmm I think GW2 would have more spoken dialogue than ESO. Being that your Char's there DO have spoken chat as well as NPCs. There are 5 races there if I remember (so that's 10 different voice actors there alone) and there are different stories (dialogues) for each race with multiple paths. Add to that the fact the game has been out longer than ESO I would have to say it beats ESO in that department to be honest.

Now I would have zero info on how GW2 would compare to Star Wars since I have not played that.

I know for SWTOR, at least for the first 8 class stories, there is voiced dialogue for all the 8 classes, both male and female. Different dialogue depending on the choices you make in each conversation, different dialogue depending on who the companion you take with you on any given mission, different dialogue for all your companion quests, romances and choices you make. You also have dialogue for all of the normal quests and side missions also. As well as dialogue for the games dungeons and raids, which is also different depending on your class and choices.I haven't played past the 8 stories so can't speak to that, but I believe there's a lot of dialogue there too from what I have heard.

Sounds like it might be a toss up between GW2 and SWTOR as to which has the most voice acting then, I just assumed with how large ESO is, that it might actually take the record for the most spoken dialogue. It may even still be, as we are unsure how many lines there are upto this point in it's life cycle.

One thing that may help eso in that regard though I'm doubtful is that there is a lot of spoken dialogue in this game completely unconnected to anything. Is that the case in GW2 or SWTOR as well?

I don't believe so, and that is also why I think ESO may hold the most dialogue. A lot of characters you speak to simply say what's on their mind, and there's a lot it sprinkled throughout the whole game.

With the new AI speech engines it'll be irrelevant in a few years anyway, voice actors will only be needed for key roles or to add 'influencer' kudos to a game.

It is the same in GW2 if I recall correctly - ANY random NPC you talk to has an actual voice. They first started this way back at the end of Guild Wars 1 and decided that would be the direction for GW2 going forward. That game has a similar number of map zones which are roughly the same size. However the thing that may point to ESO could be the fact that ESO has more cities or towns etc per map and ESO does have inside locations where GW2 does not. Such as buildings etc, so probably more NPCs in the long run.

Would be interesting to see, but I doubt anyone who could compare the 2, or 3 in that matter (star wars) would bother lol.
