Can game makers really not come up with anything to fight other than spiders??

I mean... really?

Roll them out for a few quests & areas by all means but they seem like a tedious default for ESO gamer-maker with imagination failure syndrome.

Spider Daedra were a nice twist, back in Oblivion days... but please come up with something else.

    It's a classic, thus it is included.

    I believe they have also included some other enemies too....

    Classic enough to appear, of course.

    Classic enough to be in every area and a good chunk of bosses... not so much.

    Even ignoring TES lore there are plenty of royalty free monsters that could be used to add some variety.

    If they really bother you that much, just close your eyes and imagine them wearing roller skates on the end of every leg.

    And every time I load up my resto staff I do mutter 'wands out Harry'.

    I do have mild arachnophobia but equally I've never played a game, even a TES game, with so many in so many different regions.

    I have the same problem with ghosts...not that I have ghost-phobia but it's annoying that every other quest has ghosts. Not sure how it is in DC and AD, but in EP it's constant use of ghost/spirit tropes. Haven't noticed the spiders though, what faction are you playing?

    But seriously, I can't even recall a ghost encounter in any TES game besides the Dwemer ghost in Tribunal.

    There is a lot of ghosts so far in AD whether fighting or interacting with. Heck there is a ghost merchant in Skywatch.

    Spiders rampant in both DC & VR-AD, in several painful days will let you know about VR-EP :)

    Have seen a lot of dead humanoids in various quests, have had a few ghosts (i.e. the floaty guys). Add in zombies, bloodfiends, the Alik'r variety and so on and there are a lot of humanoid dead folks.

    But I still reckon spiders win the non-humanoid numbers game as they share general mobs, dungeon mobs, dungeon boss & world boss fame.
