I feel like with the limited amount of houseguests allowed in a given home, and the limited amount of diverse interaction, they should never be more than 1,500 crowns.
I'd be more inclined to invest further in houseguests if we could simply put Pets & Mounts into an Animal Furnishing category, separate from all of our NPC resources & allies. As it is, something is needed to expand what we can place in this category, especially if ZOS is going to continue to add more houseguests.
Right now, M'aiq would just be another item I don't have room to place, so why should I buy him?
I was considering getting maiq. I've no houseguests currently.. I keep trying to save my crowns for dlc, but keep spending them on clothes etc lol. Was very tempted... but this thread has put me off. Thanks for the heads up guys!
Yeah it's sad. But in my case I did know about the preview option so I noticed about the quality of the lines and made the choice of not spending the crowns.
I was gifted M'aiq for my birthday and I'm quite happy with his selection of dialogue. M'aiq's always sounded different in ESO than I remember him in Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind (though for the latter, he didn't even have a voice ), but in essence he's the same goof as he's always been.
The only thing I wish for M'aiq the Houseguest is if it were possible to set a % chance of him being in your house after being placed, so sometimes you'll just stumble into him when zoning in. Would really match his character I think.
Thank you for this thread. I am not one to be very interested in most of what is in the crown store but I was thinking of getting this companion until I saw this thread a couple of days ago.
I got M'aiq when he was first put up in the crown store. Saw it advertised on Facebook post and was waiting for him to be available. I'm satisfied with my purchase. Nice to see him settled down.
HOWEVER, if I may make a suggestion, if we have more than one house it would be really neat if he could port around to different houses and it would be a mini game trying to find him in one of your houses.
I sort of want him. But I'd rather they'd have made him available only to those who complete I Like Mai'q! in game. So for this time I'll pass. I'm going to complete I Like Mai'q and then when he comes back I'll give him to one of my accounts.
