Item Improvement Resetting

I have seen a number of people saying that they have failed to improve an item despite it being at 100%. I think I may know why. I noticed that if I wait 5-10 seconds after selecting how many tempers I want to use, it resets back to 1 temper. It did this just as I hit R to confirm, and needless to say I failed the upgrade since it dropped back down to 20% last second. Now whenever I am improving items, I wait until it resets back to 1, then add my tempers again before upgrading.

TL;DR: Selected number of gear quality improvement items will randomly reset back to 1, causing players to fail upgrades despite adding enough to reach 100%.

I've also experienced this exact thing. It was particularly irritating as I had used my last garnet crafting the piece that got destroyed, so I had to make the replacement for it (which I was then able to improve successfully, as I had only used up 1 temper) with a trait that I didn't really want.

Next time this happens to me, I will make a bug report. I just posted this here so that other players would be aware of it.

I noticed this a while back, but it hasn't happened in a week or so now. I don't know if there's been a server side fix, or it's just stopped of its own accord, but I haven't seen any patch notes concerning it.

It happened to me over the weekend, so no it hasn't been fixed in a patch yet.
