Posing a question that I have been curious about for a while. I play on both PC and Xbox so I know where I stand on this topic. Do you think PC players would be as efficient at end game content (vet trials for example) if they were playing on a console without the ability to have add-ons?

I think console people don't realize how limited the information from addons is. Most addons are quality of life or in some cases (minimap) should be base game features. Generally, they just show additional info on screen.
And before anyone states this, no, addons do not play for you.

This is the correct answer if the question is about efficiency. Add ons are more about quality of life. Going without add ons wouldn't remove a player's inherent skill.
Since I play on both PC and Xbox my own admittedly anecdotal experience is that there is no overall difference in skill between PC and Xbox when the PC players don't use the "helper addons" like Raid Notifier, but instead pay attention to what the game itself is communicating (just like you have to do on console).
However, I have heard PC streamers admit that they (for instance) "can't" do new content until their addons are updated. Whether they were being facetious or not, they have very specifically refused to run new dungeons until certain addons are updated.
Further, when a PC player says that they don't know how anyone on console can play without addons (which is another thing I've heard quite a lot) they are actually admitting without realizing it that they do, to some extent, rely very heavily on those addons.
All that said, since PC and console are effectively different ecosystems, it really doesn't matter. PC players will continue to play on PC and should really only be evaluated based on their peer community, whereas console players will continue to play on console and should be evaluated equivalently.
YMMV.

Same, never owned an console, think this is more of an European thing.No.
I am and have always been a PC player.
Forget addon's. They are not what makes the difference in play.
For me, being able to keybind actions is what makes PC gaming excel.
That and I totally suck at a controller.

If you are a good player you will be good rather it is console or PC.
