Now I just feel like a fool

Bots are irritating, sure, but something in my brain clicked watching this guy gather jute every 7 seconds or so, from the same spot, non-stop, and I suddenly realized what a fool I am being made of.

Paying money to feel like a fool.

Nice trick, time for a long walk.

I agree it sucks to see these bots doing that. Not something that I rage over or would (at this point) quit over. I picture some poor kid in a sweatshop full of consoles making pennies an hour to monitor his bots.

Then I realize my life is so much better and continue my play.

Today, still wanted by the developers she survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a bot problem, if no one else can bite you, and if you can find her....maybe you can hire The SQUISHY."

Something tells me the denigrators and misinterpretors of the OP's comment (he never said he was quitting) are, themselves, not averse to starting the 'E' macro on their respective mice and going for long walks.

When I found botters sprinting/teleporting to nodes I figured out a way to beat them, or at least compete (make a loop the opposite direction, use sprint, skip nodes on the loop) but what confused and irritated me on this new exploit of constant gathering the same node is that except for reporting (which I did) any other action would be exploiting on my part.

Even if I could time my gathering at the spot to deny him any jute, I would now be exploiting the game myself!

Since the real advantage to this cheat produces itself in PvP ( I do not see a lot of competition between players in PvE that would be twisted by gold buying or resource buying) and I do not PvP, I should not take the offense so personal.

    Report and ignore.

The economy will be effected, but I am not really sure just how: On one hand more gold in the game per player than planned should increase the price of needed/wanted items. However, on the second hand more resources in the game per player than planned should decrease the price of needed/wanted items. And on the third hand (?), the people that manage/mismanage the game can make monetary adjustments to move the economy back to where they originally planned at any time, providing they ever had a plan.

And no, I am not quitting, I just take a walk to clear my thoughts.
