Title/Question refers to picture below.

Basically on my main char, I grinded on Arteaum until I could do Blues, then I did all Greens/Blues on every map 3 times (OCD and for all 3 comments

), then of course I did all Purples. For my 9 alt chars I just simply grinded on Arteaum until lvl 9 for glowy chests. Thus the picture below. So I am just curious how many other people have done this and on how many alts, sooooo - what's your numbers!?

Feel free to post pics if you can (I had issues doing so at first). Also if anyone is wondering, I averaged about 30 - 40k gold every 2 hours doing this, so it is a nice way to make some cash while also getting the skill line up this way.

I usually only do the antiquities that give you a furnishing thing these days, so I'm not sure what my number is, but it'll be interesting to find out once I get access to my computer again

As for the picture, I put them in a discord server I am in with one other person, and then I open the picture in a browser and copy the URL into the image link thingy

I have done a lot for furniture too as well as just doing them for the sake of doing them - again for all comments from the people who comment on them lol.

Has leveled up Antiquities on 9 characters up to level 9, luckily I did 8 of them back then you could scry for gold leads at level 5 so I could farm void crystal anomalies from there.
Except the main who did the same as you with all the zones.

Only dig on my main and the one currently working on the skill. Mainly done this for the treasure chest passive outside of the loot obviously.
At work no so don't have access to item dug up, but lower than you because the void crystal anomalies who I have close to 200 of.

I have two accounts on both PC megaservers. I have a total of 10 characters at level 10, 1 at level 9, 9 at level 8, and a dozen at lower levels. I do most digging on the 8s right now to get them toward 9 and then 10 (I want all my characters eventually able to dig the highest level sites - I really hate keeping track of leads and expiry days, swapping around to some other character; when I get a lead I want the character I'm on to just go DO it).

I scry and dig by zone in alpha order. On my NA accounts the first one has dug a total of 18 of everything blue and green, plus all the purple excavation rewards, and the gold one-off reward - plus between 50 and 60 of the housing items from leads. My second NA account is at about that same level, including the housing items. The EU accounts are about half that with all the greens and blues plus the purple reward leads and the gold coin lead, with fewer housing items as yet.

I love the antiquities thing....

By Talos, you stayed grinding greens and blues on Artaeum to level 9!? How many hours of your life was that?

I like having certain tasks for certain characters. So I only have one antiquarian, one master crafter, etc. I levelled antiquities at a very casual pace whenever it took my fancy, usually doing one zone to "completion", which would be 3 greens, 3 blues, and the purple. After that I'd be sick of scrying and digging for a day or two

Don't have more than 3 greens or blues anywhere I don't think.

I do antiquities every now and then but I don't grind it. I'd love to have level 9 on every character, but not enough to spend hours repeating the same task over and over

Mainly I just look at when leads are going to expire and do those that I only have a couple of days left for.

This is another reason that I did this too. I also hate getting a lead on any of my chars and not being able to do them on that char. I would record them in a spreadsheet, thankfully I only have to do that for the Mythic Leads now until my chars lvl up to 10 naturally. Who knows tho, I may go back to Arteaum and get them to lvl 10 if bored sometime lol.

Sounds like you have done a lot more than me with the other leads in each zone too. I used to farm the random drop ones as well but only for the 3 comments from those people when you dig them up. I really can't see myself doing anymore than that unless I just happen to get the lead. I do a lot of other stuff in the game too, don't have the time to dedicate 100% of my time to antiquities but keep up the good work!

It actually wasn't too many hours and I didn't actually grind it all day long. Basically I would jump on a char and spend maybe between 2-4 hours (rarely maybe 6 hours) at a time. I had to farm Skill Shards in between too so that helped to break up the boredom of it. It also helps to have great Music/Podcast or some TV/movies or such in the background.

To answer your question somewhat tho. It only took 4-5 days to do each alt char from lvl 1 - 9 at 2-4 hours per day. If I did 6 hours the odd day (again very rare) then it would take a day or two less. So it does not take that long really for just the 1 char.

Again you can break it up while doing other stuff. You can just do 2 hours at it on a day you are bored with everything else. Over time (a few days) you get there and it seems like it wasn't much effort really. Considering you are making gold as well is a nice bonus.

@Paulytnz - I'm retired, this game is my hobby. I play from around 7 am until between 3 and 4 pm most days, so spending an hour or so a day leveling antiquities on characters isn't a big deal for me. And it's one of the more fun things to do in the game for me! WAY more fun than writs on 60 characters!

Keep firmly in mind that I also love the Psijic quest line, and do it on every character as well (I know most people hate it - I'm not one of them!) I like things that are absorbing while doing them, and don't get old (for me).

I got to rank 4 then quit. It's nice having addons that show me potential dig sites even still, it's just way too boring to continue. I have the same problem with Archeology in WoW so its no surprise on my part.

Wow, I admire people who have done this on multiple characters. I've maxxed the skill line on my main character on NA (via artaeum->purple->gold lead mentod) and I have levelled it enought to scry for mythics on my EU (via the same method), but that's about it. Not planning to do it on more characters, though it's definitely a nice way to get gold, and worth it for not swapping toons when you get a new lead.

Don't purples disappear once you do it in one character? The money flow stopped when I ran out of purples.

Yes, the purples and the one gold (Al Esh coin lead) are once only each. But you can do the green and blue ones in each zone as many times as you like. I'd rather dig antiquities than do writs on everyone.... being out in the world is lots more fun than standing around crafting in Vivec! And when you're out if you're harvesting nodes, you'll get other leads for gear or furnishings.

I have merely grinded alts on Arteum until I could do purples. Then I did leads gained from playing the game to finish leveling up for the chest passive. Arteum is too boring.,

That's still nice. I plan to use them as a marble floor for a house at some point. Turn them upside down and they are great for that.

That is also a good/viable strategy, I'm just impatient lol.

I'm not retired but I do have more time to play than most I guess, so I get ya. I do spend an hour a day tho doing craft writs on 10 chars. It's worth the 50k gold and other stuff to sell, but each to their own.

Er, one character at level 10 on 2 accounts. Then I can dig up any lead I get. I don’t care too much about glowy chests.
