If this is the intro quest to the event I might as well abandon it now as I'm not going to the imperial city. Or will dailies in Wrothgar get me my ticket?
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    I don't understand this mindset/argument. A majority of the game is PvE-based, yet you complain about having to take part in...what the main part of the game is? Whereas PvP isn't as big of a focus, and in PvE other players can't actively prevent you from progressing. Yes, you can get into bad groups where people might not be able to handle the content they've queued for, but aside from a very few trolls, those people aren't TRYING to keep you from doing what you're trying to do. And yes, we're aware the point of PvP is to kill opposing players. It doesn't change the fact that that goal actively prevents those who aren't skilled in PvP from trying to accomplish PvE goals.

    Also, the condescending attitude of "well THIS is what you should have done" isn't necessary. This attitude PvPers have towards PvEers a lot of the time is what gives PvP overall such a bad rep, even more so than the frustration of getting ganked or curbstomped by more capable players.

    I've given up on master angler because I realised I'd have to do cyrodil. I don't want to. Simple as that. I just don't want to do PvP. So I won't and tickets to buy a cosmetic pet or mount won't entice me.

    I ran 4 characters through Master Angler - starting with Cyro (to get it out of the way. I didn't die once, I didn't have to engage in pvp once, and I never saw another player except once when an AD player shared my EP character's saltwater fishing hole.

    Go in "off peak" and on a low bar no CP campaign.

    Thanks for the advice but it's really not for me. If I have to start planning ahead and timing things right just so I can stand there grinding fish it'll just take the fun out of it for me. I'll do the rest and miss cyrodil out. I won't get a title but I'll be a PvE master angler in my head. The rng is frustrating enough lol.

    __________________________Backstories:_________________________

    Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

    Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

    Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

    Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

    Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

    The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

    The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

    Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

    Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

    And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

    After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

    After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

    Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

    Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

    Unless you go to one of the PvE quest hubs or the areas around the keeps and their resources, you can actually hang out in Cyrodiil with very little risk of being bothered by enemy players. I know PvPers like to gripe that Cyrodiil is a "riding simulator," but I find it pretty enjoyable to ride around Cyrodiil on my mount. I might get attacked if I pass by a keep or its resources, or when going through a milegate or over a bridge, but that's usually pretty rare as long as I look at the map and avoid places where the alliances are fighting each other for control.

    And now with the Imperial City having its own queues, such that you no longer need to go to one of the old sewer entrances around Lake Rumare, it's pretty safe to hang out around the shores of Lake Rumare and fish.

    You don't have to do the introductory quest to get tickets. I haven't completed this one but the festival quests are usually extremely basic and just there as a way of showing new players where the event is happening.

    If you just want tickets you just have to do the relevant daily quests. Unfortunately 1/2 the tickets do come from the Imperial City and there's no way around that, you either do IC quests or end up with 1/2 as many tickets.

    You don't have to engage in PvP while you're there, the quests themselves are purely PvE objectives (kill enemies, collect stuff, the usual) but there is a risk you will be killed by other players. If you don't care about the tel var currency the only problem with being killed is that you have to respawn and get back to where you were, but that can be annoying, especially if it happens a lot.

    If you don't want to go to IC your options are to settle for 1/2 as many tickets from this event or buy them from the crown store.

    I get that PvE sucks to some, but it isn't hard to do, and mostly fairly easy. Avarage gamers can do it. PvP, however, is not so forgiving. Today the reds completely blocked and camped Noble's district, for example. That is just griefing people who are forced into IC and who stand no chance against the large groups that run around. How is that even remotely fun? I have had enough bullying for one lifetime, thank you very much.

    And pvper are forced in all pve event

    Option for next time
    BEFORE the event go do all 6 dailies on 3 charagter but do not turn them in. When the event start bring 1 back per day. That way you skip the increased population

    Other option for now
    I cant confirm if it work for other faction bus as ep do the arena quest but stay on the platform, onther player freeing the civilian under you will get you credit.

    Not everyone can be happy every event
    Pve get 9 event per year while pvp get 3 (more like 2 1/2 due to the split in the ic dlc) wich with the fact pve is more popular than pvp in eso it seem fair

    And no im not a pvper, im in pve 99.9% of the time

    Personally, I think there’s too much paranoia surrounding Cyrodiil & IC

    For the Sand, Snow & Blood quest, in IC, leave the base through the door that takes you into the Imperial Sewers, go forward to the first big room with Daedra, turn left & go forward into the next big room .. at the end of the room is a boss, kill him, return to base ... & that’s 5mins of your time, at most

    As for fishing in Cyrodiil, as someone already mentioned, you can fish in Cyrodiil without seeing another person at all .... PvP players don’t actually trawl the map looking for an easy kill, the map is too vast for that ... instead, PvP players will be at keeps, resources, towns, & generally riding in fairly direct lines between these places

    Also, if people feel uneasy about being in Cyrodiil, then craft some invisible potions .. if you think you’ve been spotted, move away & use the invisible potion, then crouch whilst invisible & keep moving away (sneaking) .. you’ll continue to remain hidden once the potion ends, as you should be crouched by then

    :lol: or maybe not - seems neither Craglorn nor Wrothgar bosses count for this!

    Actually, they did.

    Note that I wasn't asking about earning tickets which come from doing the repeatable daily quests, but was instead asking about the "Sand, Snow, and Blood" quest which simply gives a purple event reward coffer.

    I was really trying to determine what else in Craglorn is considered to be a "world event," in case I couldn't solo a world boss and needed to do something easier. But it turned out I didn't need to worry about that, because there was a small crowd of players waiting at the world boss I'd chosen, which was right by the location of the two daily quests that I typically do.

    For the Imperial City boss, I did the closest stationary sewer boss to my alliance's base.

    So I got it all done with ease. :)

    Which alliance has the base with the boss in the room close by?

    I think they meant the boss closest to your alliance's base, which is in the general direction of where they said. For DC, it's not quite as close by as their description made it sound-- but it also isn't much further, and their general directions was accurate enough to get you there if you're checking your map like you should. I've never set foot inside either of the other two alliances' bases, but I think their description is vague and generalized enough that it loosely fits the "closest boss" for all three. :)

    If they're giving 2 Event Tickets per day, in a quest spanning three DLCs, then one of them (Imperial City) SHOULD NOT be favoured over the others.

    The following combinations should be possible:

    1 from Wrothgar daily, 1 from Craglorn daily.
    1 from Wrothgar daily, 1 from Imp City daily.
    1 from Craglorn daily, 1 from Imp City daily.

    The attraction in doing Imp City dailies is that there are more of them in a smaller area, to get daily quests from, and thus get a Coffer for each without having to share quests. If you don't want to do PVP, you get fewer Coffers in a shorter space of time, BUT you could still get the 2 daily event tickets.

    Craglorn also has a lot of dailies, but they are further apart, and take a lot of time, and mostly take group play. A couple can be soloed, but most cannot. (In particular: The "Pilgrimage" one requires being fast enough to get between all seven delves, which most people can't do, but you won't meet anything tougher than a Tier 1 boss monster, i.e. a standard delve boss monster. The two quests in the Valley of Scars, "Iron and Scales" and "Taken Alive", can be run concurrently and the area is basically a tough solo - the standard mobs are clustered together in Public Dungeon numbers, but none of the bosses are higher than Tier 1, having been reduced from Tier 3 because the main quest of Craglorn (whose essential bits were made soloable) passes through that area. The other dailies all still require the ability to fight boss monsters of Tier 2 or Tier 3 (comparable to Public Dungeon bosses or World Bosses), and even the Tier 2 ones are tough for their tier: they're better approached in groups unless you can solo a vanilla game dungeon comparatively easily. Shada's Tear is by far the toughest - even a full team of 3 or 4 can find it tough - but has *three* daily reward quests running through it (2 blue, 1 purple reward, and that's just the regular reward coffers.)

    Wrothgar has only two dailies. They can technically be shared if people have different targets so you might be able to do all 12 Wrothgar dailies in a day (6 WBs, 6 Delves). But with the distances running between them, it's really REALLY annoying to do so - just like doing the Craglorn dailies, many of which take a very long time.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Either that, or there should be 3 daily event tickets: 1 each from Wrothgar, Craglorn and Imperial City.
    Like an idjiit I did Shadas Tear in Craglorn as a world event. Realised after it did not count. Then figured out what to do. It's a great event overall.
    Yeah, double node drops in Craglorn is awesome. Earlier tonight I harvested a node and in addition to its normal mats it also included 1 Potent Nirncrux plus 3 Fortified Nirncrux! :)
    Done the maths, don't need two tickets a day. Perhaps if there was something worth buying from the Impresario apart from the next part for the senche-raht reskin I'd be more bothered. I'll do one daily in Wrothgar to get my coffer and will clear world bosses in Craglorn with the guild.
    Everyone's a winner.
    So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.
    And pvper are forced in all pve event
    Again, this argument makes no sense for a game where the main focus and majority of the content is PvE based. TES overall is a single-player PvE franchise. If people are complaining about doing PvE content in a game largely geared towards PvE, they're playing the wrong kind of game. It would be like a PvEer playing a largely PvP-based game and complaining about the lack of PvE, it doesn't hold water.
    That aside, as has been pointed out, PvEers can't block your progress in PvE in any manner other than if you get into a bad group for a dungeon, trial, or arena, and you end up being unable to complete that particular instance. And again, 99% of the time people aren't purposefully going out of their way to block your progress, they just aren't ready for the content they're attempting. Whereas in Cyrodiil and IC, the entire goal is to prevent enemy factions from progressing. It's the point of PvP, which is why mixing PvE and PvP doesn't generally work all that well. The PvP goal of blocking your opponents from progressing flies straight in the face of PvE content.
