Well as a follow up last night I just started inviting people to a group and before I knew it we had a full group. We were all rather new except one or two people. We just started going to where we were needed in zone chat. We hardly ever wiped and played that way for four or five hours. I passed the crown to one of the more experienced players after a bit and learned a lot. Funny thing is I died once while trying to res one of the people from that toxic guild. Was ironical and had to laugh at that. It didn't take but a short while to gather up people either.
This is great! I was going to say you don't need a guild to enjoy PvP. There's big group play, often guild-based, but also small-scale, e.g. playing alone or with one to three friends. Some say that you learn more from small-scale. It certainly makes you more independent, able to survive for a short time on your own and then, hopefully, for longer and longer. It teaches you tactics, such as how to use the terrain to survive, which you don't really learn from large group play. Guild play adds a layer of strategy on top, but it coddles you. You will be healed and you are comparatively safe. If you are on Discord and follow the leader's instructions, that may work out pretty well for you. However if you are not on Discord, you're likely to find yourself "off-side" from time to time, e.g. the wrong side of the battle line. That's when small-scaler training will kick in to save you. That said, as a magsorc Streak will get you out of trouble pretty easily. It is a good solo class, in fact, for exactly that reason.

Good advise. Streak is pretty nice, with such a large magic pool I couldn't mount the other night due to combat so I streaked a good portion of the way from one keep to the other lol. Had to stop a few times but was rather funny. It's saved my bacon a few times already.
Most stamsorcs run Dark Deal. Some magsorcs run Dark Conversion. The latter will allow you to regain magicka quickly for more Streaks. You don't want to do that much in actual combat, because you're compromising your break free and roll dodge sustain. However once you've gained enough distance you can use Dark Conversion liberally.

I looked it up and Dark Conversion is lot better. I was using rapid regeneration which I pulled from a build I saw. I'll be switching that this evening, thanks for the tip!

They are honestly two different skills. I do not view Dark Conversion as a heal. It's main purpose is resource management. The skill has a cast time. It is not instant and it can be interrupted. It will work as a heal, but it's more strategic than the resto skills. Typically that means you have to streak behind a rock or at least gain some distance, then Dark Conversion may be safe to use. On the other hand working with Dark Conversion, Crit Surge and/or the Twilight Matriarch/Clannfear as your heals allows you to get away from the resto staff back bar and replace that with an ice staff or 1-hand + shield. I believe blocking does not affect your damage mitigation while you are shielded. Shields (Hardened Ward / Dampen Magic / Harness Magicka) are the bread and butter defense of magsorc. However in general I find that block-casting defensive skills with an ice staff or with 1H + Shield makes you feel tankier than using a resto staff. Yes, even on a magicka shielding class, such as my magden. Just so long as you have class-based healing.

Magsorcs have a very hackneyed way to build. Their PvP builds and playstyle are probably the least-changing from patch to patch. Essentially you want to build for as much magicka as possible as this gives you the best combination of offense (damage scales from max mag as well as spell power) and defense (shields scale from max mag) that you can hope for. This means wearing sets like Crafty Alfiq, Necropotence, Ancient Grace, Death Dealer's Fete, and so on. Out of all the sets in the game, there are probably only a dozen that you should seriously consider. The cut and dry build-style for magsorc means that many people go to Malcolm on YouTube, who is an expert PvP magsorc on PC EU and very good at laying out the options that you have.

Dude your mistake was pvping in cyrodiil on an alt. You could have easily leveled him in BGs or IC. Cyrodiil gets weird like that. Spying is a real thing and its all based on rumors and heresay. Either you sink to their level and defend yourself in zone chat like a middle schooler confronting bullies, or you avoid it all and only step into Cyrodiil on your home faction and home campaign.
That being said though, lots of other ways to pvp in this game without stepping a foot into Cyrodiil. The way its structured makes toxicity like this inevitable. Your best defense is to build a friend group and play with them only.
