Not only does it reveal Nightblades for you but for everyone else on your faction as well.
And I'm not sure this is accurate. I think you may be taking then out of stealth (crouch) and thus revealing them. I'm pretty sure sentry only procs for the wearer.
If you see us with sentry you can light attack us or drop an aoe. Being stealthed doesn't prevent you from taking damage. It just means you have to either directly hit them or surround us with damage. Other skills will not fire because they require the target to be visible.
This isn't right though. Crouch stealth yes. But I'm talking about spamming cloak even when I can see you. It makes all single target attacks miss. Its absolutely insane the mitigation it provides.
So again, drop an aoe under them or flare. It will yank them out.
So not only sacrifice a 5p, but sacrifice skills to counter NB. Got it.
Also with the delay that flare has and the general movement speed NB has you better have God tier prediction skills or else you are just wasting magicka.
Either way I'm just saying, we had issue with shuffle giving 15% dodge chance, yet NB gets a spammable 100% against single target direct and dots damage.
Okay I got it. You don't want to sacrifice anything to counter the playstyle that is base game because it's inconvenient. I'm sorry but that's just now how it works.
And most NBs are slower sneaking than walking unless they run swift or wild hunt. If you can't throw down an insta cast aoe around us then practice more. Because it's not that hard.
And for the millionth time it doesn't negate over the damage.
I'm giving up a 5 piece set to counter NB. What do you mean??? I just want the counter to do its job and actually counter the skill. Not some half ***** counter that still let's them mitigate damage. And yes I have plenty of MYM clips that show no damage number, no HP decrease. Nothing. It causes the damage to miss.

It does not cleanse a dot. I will take that damage.
Sentry does half the job for you. What else do you expect, do you want it to auto lob projectiles? I really don't get this. Just throw caltrops or some other instant aoe at me. It really isn't that hard if you can see me.

Cloak causes direct single target damage to miss when you spam it. Never talked about the dot suppression.
Caltrops and other aoe are not instant so don't say that. They have travel time and are very limited in their use.
And lastly. Yes if I'm using a 5p to counter NB it should allow them to take damage during its 33% uptime.

There are some things I can do to avoid getting bombed and indeed I do them: not stand on a resource flag, move away from a friendly stack, have impen/health, etc., but the fact of the matter is that if you partake in the sorts of fights Cyrodiil encourages, you're going to find yourself in positions that are highly conducive to bombing (breeches, friendly allies moving close to you, trying to capture a strategic position, even something like trying to transitus to a threatened keep, etc.). So it is kind of frustrating, even if I acknowledge that it's hard for a bomber to pull off.

This. MagNB bombing is way OP now. It is insta death during open field combat even if running solo and not near many people. This is new.
MagNB Soul tether/VD/proxy/sap joins the long line of OP builds ZOS has brought out: Bashing goliath (with bash enhancements), graveyard harmony (harmony enhancements), Crys weapon/imbue weapon/overload .
It's humorous to recall those many months of no proc combat. The ball groups were no longer immortal and they disappeared. The fights were based on abilities, not procs. TTK was long.
Now ZOS has gone in the completely opposite direction. With this build, TTK is reduced to zero.
Although it is amusing to see the ball groups drop dead occasionally from a well placed bomb.
Look on the bright side cloak is getting buffed u31 lol
