Did you know if you kill the "feast" balls the player who is trapped will be dropped and you don't have to do the entire fight down 1 player?
I rarely meet anyone who knows these mechanics.
I know this isn't at all what you asked but I just need an excuse to complain about how much I hate Veteran Cradle of Shadows in pub groups lol
Ok, not a dungeon boss, but that stupid WB guar in deshaan....

THIS. This so much. Every time I pug and someone decides to not skip I'm like 'okay, but don't kill her spiders'...'don't kill her spiders guys'...'stop killing spiders she will shield'...'NO KILLING SPIDERS'...and then after they kill the last of them I just afk pretty much xD Usually they wipe in 5-10 mins upon finally realizing something is wrong, then I tell them about spiders AGAIN and then we finally make it. Why people flat refuse to listen/ignore group chat in a vet dungeon is beyond me.
It's generally the fights that actually still have some mechs. When going into vet dlc's, most people seem at least somewhat aware there're mechanics there, those going in base game vet often seem to just turn brain off before going in. So any player-interruptable/induced boss heals/buffs are a huge nope. Drodda in Direfrost, Ciirenas in FG2, Rilis in BC2, etc.
Tempest last boss, forgot her name, gets an honorary mention because people seem incapable of following the 'don't go too far' advice. You repeat it about 15 times in different words - 'don't go too far she will jump and kill you', 'come closer', 'don't run off', 'don't go so far or she will jump', 'you're too far from boss', whatever - they do it AGAIN for 16th time in a row and you just give up and leave them dead for the rest of the fight. And woe be you if you have 3 of those there XD
When it comes to Mezeluth, I seriously wonder if the best strategy isn't actually for just a couple of people to go in and beat him down while the other two stay completely out of range? Or do they get dragged into the fight anyway?
Because there's always somebody who doesn't get his roll-dodge right, or dodges in the same direction as somebody else and kills both of them...

Don't move a muscle. That one gets me most of the time.
