Combat/Melee animation delay

So i got this weird problem. When i place my cursor on a enemy npc and click LMB for attack there is a delay between melee swings, its very noticeable and get worse if there are +2 mobs. However when i swing my weapon without having a target it works perfectly fine, the delay in attacks only seem to appear when the cursor is on a enemy.

Tried repairs, lowering settings - none of which does anything. Steady +40fps, with a ping of 150-190 [EU]. Only AddOn is LootDrop.

Any ideas?.

The hidden stat "Attack Speed" of your character determines this interval.
    Here's how it all works:
    UNITS:
Animation Time (AT) - The time it takes for the weapon swing animation. This is not affected by attack speed but can be cut short by using another ability.
Attack Speed (AS) - The time between your attacks as allowed by the game.

Ok, so that pause your feeling when your in combat is any additional AS time after the AT ends. pause = AS - AT. The AT varies with the weapon.

The larger problem is when AS - AT is negative (your attack speed is shorter than the animation time). When this happens you have to actively stop the animation part way through (with a block usually) in order to actually achieve your full attack speed. This is especially true with long AT weapons such as bows and staffs but is visible with 2h weapons as well.

Recent problem or constant since release? I noticed when playing this morning that the delay was even more noticable than usual. Worse than primetime yesterday :/

If only the EU server was actually in the EU we could eliminate that possibility...

Bitching that your playing a game made in the USA but live in EU has it's place in other threads, not here.

I have the same problem and it keeps getting worse. There has been no official word about this yet so it could really be the result of server distance, like many others say.
Whatever the reason, I hope they will fix it soon.

Where the game was made? Are you serious? Think before you write something, please.

    'Murica, *** yeah!

Lol I find it amusing that you state my post has no place in this thread yet continue the argument... Which is completely irrelevant.

The fact that the EU servers are in NA (and not even on the east coast) may play a major part in the combat responsivness. Maybe not everything, but its not exactly helping the issue.

@murklor007neb18_ESO‌ your right, I'll just flag the post as "off topic from OP" and be done with it.

    Ok so thread derailed?

Was going to say i noticed this more and more lately.

You can spam click the left mouse button when fighting, but your character is almost paused in motion for a few, then he might speed up and hit really quick a few times.

Or he will just take stupid long to actually hit something over and over again, like an animation glitch, he winds up, and just doesn't take that swing for another 1-2 seconds, unless it's a spell or ability you click 1-5 with.

@BenjaminKacher_ESO I dont understand, you saying sword and shield (what i use atm) have such low attack speed my LMB clicking is faster so im causing the weird stagger lag between swings/attacks?.

I dont know about that, ill try when im ingame and slow my "Lmb clicks" tho i doubt thats it as it really looks like some weird staggering lag between attacks when my cursor is over a mob (distance dosnt matter btw). I would assume there would be a flow between each attack how ever the attack speed is.

p.s i havnt made a video in 5 years, ill try and see about doing a small clip to show my problem. Might be awhile tho. xD
