Discussion Incident: 210731-001360 - Poor Handling of Harrassment

Multiple tickets were sent and closed.

A player has a character name that obviously has defamation aspects to it with intent to harrass/stalk. Multiple reports by me and a lot of people were made regarding:
- Character defamation
- Harrasssment
- Hate Whispering
- Verbal threats to kill in real life.

Yet despite ZOS 'taking action' and 'closing the ticket', the player still runs around with said name. Yes I can block him, but it does not solve the root issue. Would appreciate some action regarding this as this shows poor management and care of your code of conduct

I'd very much recommend taking screenshots/video and send it in. I feel that may get support off their rears and do something.

Already did that, for multiple tickets. Myself and a lot of people are not happy.

Hello @Didact805. your ticket is in the right place and your updates have been received. However, unless we need further information, you will not get a response to your ticket as we can't discuss any disciplinary actions that we take.

@ZOS_Chiroptera I know you can't discuss disciplinary action can confirm than he's still running around with said name in Cyrodiil which speaks volume about code of conduct enforcement.

If it makes you feel any better, a good friend of mine just got a 3 day ban as a "warning" over one of his toon names. Appeal instantly rejected and he was informed that the next "infraction" may lead to a permanent account suspension. As a result, he and his son both stopped playing the game (and paying for ESO+) so at least you know they do enforce some things.

Fingers crossed, this gets sorted, game enjoyability is at a low alongside other issues in-game.

The ticket status was updated as "read answer provided", other than the original template/copy and paste response I do not see any other responses.

Again I saw him run around last night and confirmed by others too when offline.

As I speak, right now, that troll is in zone. So again it is very obvious no action with reasonable impact was done.

Update:

So my friend got a warning for an inappropriate name (which isn't defamation of a character name or even intentionally inappropriate) and is now forced to change it.

Yet you allow a name that defames a character and has obvious harrassment/sexual ties to it which is a clear breach of the code of conduct despite multiple reports by friends/myself and tickets.

Twice now I've received this and right now he's still in zone chat. I'm sorry for the spam but at this point the decision for all of us (my guilds/friends) to move on is justified.
