Oh man, they're really going to release infinite major breach cuz of cyrodiil bugs?

Absolute madmen. I assume this is just part of their ttk calculation thing, but its really going to transform the meta around running purge and having the resources for it. GG. I wish this wasn't an issue because of a well known bug that's been around for years, but I'm sure the balance on this, and 'TTK' has been well measured.

If you're talking about Elemental Susceptibility, the change was probably to simplify calculations so that it doesn't have to reapply a debuff every single time you deal damage to the target.

Which is silly, because the morph is overall pretty useless, and because of Cyrodiil in-combat bugs (like you mentioned). The morph really needs to just be reworked.

I don't think it's because of TTK stuff.

Also, getting stuck in-combat used to be way worse way more often in my experience, and we've seen some improvements to it.

The morph of weakness to elements that refreshes every time you deal damage to a target now applies permanently until they leave combat. And since there are a bunch of hours during the day when players get stuck in combat permanently on grey host, it means that anyone who didn't already slot purge before getting hit with it, are stuck with it permanently. (Can't slot a new ability like purge if you're stuck in combat!). It's possible to get stuck in combat through Transitus shrines, and it's even possible to die, rez, and still be stuck in combat on grey host.

Anyway, it's going to be a total fiasco, so get ready for everyone adjusting their play style even further around the second most talked about bug in cyrodiil

Until they leave combat? So basically never because you're always stuck in combat. Should have duration tbh.

Hmm. 30 seconds of major breach vs "I've been standing at the gate for 30 minutes and I'm still in combat" major breach.

yea and as soon as u enter a normal fight within 1 sec every decent player will apply this debuff anyway so there is barly a diffrence between 1sec in time and debuff applied and 0 sec and debuff applied - this change won't rly change ANYTHING

I rarely get breached. This is very subjective.

You're making it sound like the moment you get into a fight you're anyways breached which isn't true. If there's a 20 minute fight I might get breached a couple times. But that player dies. Or they kill me and I rez without the debuff.

Most sources of major breach last between 4 and 10 seconds. The outliers are mark target and weakness to elements that last 20 seconds.

How many players running around with elemental weakness? Not a lot.

Razor caltrops, graveyard and deep fissure are all more popular but last under 10 seconds AND are dodgable.

So why stop there, why not defile and maim too? Makes no sense.

I love how everyone's going total bonkers over an insanely common debuff that you'll have on you anytime you fight somebody anyway.

Slotting purge won't change anything. Literally nothing. None. 0. Half the classes either pre-apply it or have it baked into their abilities or passives.

Everyone will die just as often as now. The only class it really hurts is NB ganker.

Cause they die in 2 hits to anything already when caught, and i can't really complain about that. As a NB main I actually despise ganking. It's toxic, turns newbies off the game, ruins the class potential by limiting it to a certain playstyle (all other builds will never be as strong) etc. That's all stuff for a different thread though.

It's not the buff I'm worried about, it's making it based on how long you're in combat. The game is massively bugged right now which keeps you in combat for a majority of your lifespan. I just think they should stick with durations. No free cost skill should last several hours.
For example, if I want to use pierce armor I have to spend stamina and reapply it every 15 seconds, making sure to keep it up in my rotation. With the staff one you just fire and forget about it.
