Did I just give them idea to "fillet 250 fish" for next week? Opps.

lol I was going to comment here that if you play a typical templar you'll get this endeavor done in a day

& if you dont, getting through it in a week will be FUN

Not unless you build into AoE muwahahahaha!!!!!

It definitely helps to have alts with different styles, that you can switch between depending on the endeavor. Class skills? Templar. Weapon skills? Bow stamblade. Etc.

And yeah - pets, armor procs, companions, and various other things, all don't count as "kills" for many of them.

Weapon skills are MUCH easier with a bow....

I find it to be a bit of a conflict and not so easy with the "kill 250 with class skills". My main as a sorc uses all the time his pets and has Bastian with him as a companion, he still needs to be leveled. But in this combination numerous kills just do not count. I would have to completely change my fighting style and send Bastian away so that the 250 kills can be done "quick and easy". I find that annoying.

I was going to be all clever and say "but wait, pets do count" but I just tested it and kills from the warden bear and sorc pets didn't count. The bear is understandable as an ult, but I'm very surprised that sorc pets don't.

Also, even though they're easy, I'm still not a big fan of these class/weapon ability endeavors, as I have to remind myself to not LA weave when doing them so that the correct thing lands the killing blow. For the sake of teaching/encouraging new players to pick up weaving, I wish these endeavors could be tweaked a bit.

Same here,I will have to take my templar to get this done, too many kills dont count with my sorc pets.

Yes, it is not really understandable, it is one of the Sorc's class abilities - for some it is probably the most important. I think it's actually pretty unfair, I have to say.

Put flappy and companion away, changed a staff/guild abilities and took a nice 'harvest-every-node' walk along the south road in Northern Elsweyr. Made the most of the final day of double node drops and got all my kills. Also, not played 'alone' in a while and faffing around with some old unused class skills was rather amusing >^^<

Slotted all class abilities tried to avoid light attacks and did some delves and a couple of public dungeons I should have done anyway. But I do not like endeavours what require changing my fight style. I already have trouble not totally forgetting my rotation when doing overland and that kind of thing does not help in it at all.

I was pleased to see this week's endeavors. 7 dungeons fits my one pledge a day routine fine but since I'm already at 150/250 of the class skill kills, I know that will finish off first. Very nice. :)

Yes, my Magplar and Magblade are heavy on class skills. Though my Magward actually did most of the work so far in her normal questing and running a pledge. If it was weapon skills, I'd focus on my Bowsorc.

Yep, it is nice to have weeklies that do not require extra effort and going off to content you don't normally do. I personally enjoy doing vDLC pledges and now I'm interested to see, which completes first: 250 class skill kills or 7 dungeons as a stam sorc.

There are two other weekly endeavors.

And the option to just ignore the weeklies. (like I've done most weeks - this is only the second time I'm doing a weekly, because it fits what I can/will do with my characters & playtime.)

You can still play how you "want". You just have to balance how much you Want those weekly seals, vs how much you Want to only play a pet sorc. /shrug

    I mean... 250/7 is like 35.7

but yeah, that's an easy weekly, much easier than last weeks

I found the 4 trials one easier.
Class skill kills is a huge painnn when you play a class that doesn't have a good spammable.

when I first saw that requirement I though it will be tough, its 50 class skill kills a day. Then I went into a delve and when I left, i recognized what a monster I really am.
now I feel sorry for all the npcs I killed... almost.

250 Isn't anything. Me and my main squeeze 2-manned Blessed Crucible once as we have been doing once a day trying to get the Noble Duelist lightning staff and in 1 run I got 88 class kills. I'm on a Magplar of course, but still, its going to be very easy to get to 250.

Don't forget the little critters count – beetles, spiders, rabbits, squirrels, herons, deer, sheep, &c.

Yes, I found out about the small creatures at the end of my play last night, and after I had gotten through 90 kills on other mobs using my hidden blade skill on them all. I’m going to just quickly kill the small animals for the rest and be done in no time!

I may be naive, but I think if they are going to make class skills a thing, they should have noticed that killing with class skills is fun on some classes and not fun on others. Having people experience parts of the game they don't normally try is good, but focusing on things where half of the players need to find loopholes is bad design.

And my "class skill" classes have trouble with the Weapon Skill Kill and Apply Weapon Poison tasks. Just the way it is. /shrug
(ditto for "PvE character vs PvP tasks" or "non-thief character vs Heist/Sacrament" or.... no biggie, that's why there's a bunch of options. Including the "don't bother" option.)

In my case, because I'm an alt-a-holic, I guess it never occurs to me that people don't have a bunch of alts with different playstyles.
(same thing happened with Star Trek Online "defeat enemies with Disruptor/Phaser/Polaron/<whichever energy type>" endeavors - I didn't have to change up my build, I just switched to the alt who had a ship equipped that way.)

I decided to not do it on my stamblades, instead I rolled out my magden and spammed some class aoes in a public dungeon. Had my bear out too for the company, didn't steal that many kills thankfully. Also, skeevers are really nice for this endeavour.

"Play as you want, as long as it's how WE dictate this week!"

Yeah, I barely use class skills on my two mains, because I go with weapon skills instead.

On my PetSorc main, if there's a "kill enemies with class skilks" endeavor then I just deslot my #1 weapon skill, replace it with the Crystal Whatsit, then go blast crystals at wolves in Stros M'Kai so I can restock on Rubedo Leather Scraps.

On my Nightblade main, I switch to his back bar so I can spam a class skill at enemies-- again, wolves in Stros M'Kai.

That's for the daily endeavor. I don't do the "kill 250 enemies" weekly endeavors if there's something less grindy instead, such as doing 7 dungeons. I mean, I know players generally consider dungeons to be grindy, but 1 dungeon a day isn't so bad, and I can usually do 2 or 3 a day on each main if there's nothing else going on, such as an event. I try to complete endeavors early if possible, so I don't need to worry about completing them in a hurry before they reset for the next day or week.

Don't rebuild, just slot the sorc execute and finish off low health enemies with it.
