Map Pinging for Group

thesawolfb14_ESO
Just discovered this last night while I was in a group and we were talking in ts3 and I had not heard it as being a feature in ESO.

While looking at map, pressing Ctrl+click on a spot on the map places a temporary blue ping on the map that your group members can see on both map and compass.

Another group member said Shift+click marked a red pulsating mark on map/compass for group members (that one was acting flakey for me).

Can anyone else confirm this as being a regular ESO feature or that of an add-on? Either way, was a nice find.

It's in the vanilla game. My husband and I were using this before we discovered useful add-ons.

Someone told me of this feature just now, but neither they nor I know how to delete the map ping marker again. Any idea?

They really need to make this more visible on the map.

Yeah we were using this yesterday, it's easily visible on the compass bar, but if you look at the map (to see whether you would be better off using a wayshrine than walking or riding) it's not that obvious. Needs to be the same pulsating red symbol on the map.
