Am sure that Z-Max is doing something behind the curtain.

I am also sure that if whatever they are doing behind the curtain does not work soon only the cheating players will be left to play the game, until they get sick of the game and leave in droves.

A few more weeks and ESO will be known as the MMO of Cheats. It just takes a few more videos on Y.T. and the Game's reputation is tarnished to the point where it can not be saved any longer.

I just read there is even a video on Y.T. explaining the code how to set up a bot.

Right now ESO is headed toward the list of failed MMO's unless something drastically is undertaken by Z-Max.

My suggestion. Take the game down until the broken game code is fixed.

I believe they might have done something about it last night. I was in Stonefalls and somebody said a GM appeared in the a public dungeon where a lot of bots were. Maybe they banned some people, or were just getting the names.

you and me both. I have reported at least 100 pieces of human garbage so far and it seems like nothing is done, there are more now than when the game launched.

Totally agree, which is why i take the time to write down the name of each botter, then do a mass report via /bug and harassment, because that's what it is.

I don't care if they paid for the game, the issue is how they choose to play it and the likely reasons for doing so.

For example, you'll see players now offering to sell 1,2,3,4,5 and so on of motifs or 50 of each type of temper or more.. Are these the main accounts of the botters? Very likely.. Buying from them.. just means you're supporting them. They need to be removed. Or all the gold sinks in the game become pointless with the majority player base finding prices going through the roof whilst cheats buy gold to keep up and exploiters sell it and bot.

If Zos want botters and gold sellers only.. they're going a great way about it. I don't want to see reports of thousands of banned accounts.. I want to see the botters vanishing from the game.

I'll add to this: Most bot programs are mouse click builds, it's difficult to break code working like this. But it is equally very easy to spot people using this code, because it isn't random. It always follows a pattern and this is the weakness, it needs eyeballs to validate they're botting and ban them, it also needs ears on the ground to pickup on groups and report them.

They are definitely hunting them down, just there is a LOT of them. Also, I know they need to figure out some way that add-ons and other third party things can be better watched. Something in the coding will probably have to change of how you can integrate and even then there will be somebody that figures out how to break that, too. It's a very vicious cycle because you program change and then they hack again. If they are making money they will keep working at it. Too many people seem to think they should just buy gold rather than play the game as intended and I've seen it in a lot of games! So as long as they know people will buy, they will find a way.

So they found a hole for now that I am sure ZOS is finding a way to close, but who knows how long it will take for them to find the next one. Too bad these guys did not put their programming knowledge towards useful pursuits that helped people rather than just finding ways to make money for themselves.

I saw a ZOS post Information on Recent Account Bans whereas they unbanned some accounts after "several players appealed". I hope they realize that it's standard procedure for the Chinese to do such things in order to keep their bots running as long as possible.

They also do stuff such as transferring their gear to another player, claim they got hacked, then get the powers that be to restore their gear for them. They did this so often in D3 it became known as the dup exploit. The only exploit was of the naivety of the game administrators. You'd see dozens of the exact same item in the auction house at the same time. You'd think after someone claimed their account got hacked for the twelfth time they'd catch on....

They're moving out of the dungeons into the open now. They're everywhere, in every zone.

But worse, there's people using scripted bots, but staying at keyboard, when challenged they deny they're botting, even tho for the last 20 minutes they've been hitting mob, /sitchair, hitting mob, /sitchair, check bags, hitting mob, /sitchair, hitting mob, /sitchair, check bags... etc

The thing is, the usual GM approach to a botter is /w name Hi, this is GM soandso, are you there. No response = ban Response = not botting. It's obvious when people are playing, it's obvious when they are botting. They need to be dealt with.
