✭✭✭VarenAll three characters somehow come off as completely uninteresting, lacking in personality, and hard to get attached to. Which is surprising, because many of the other characters from the basegame quests are pretty likeable.
Varen is the obvious choice, as a) everything was his fault, and 2) like. Sai and Lyris still have a lot more to do in life? Not sure if that's weird to say lol. But he's already dedicated his life to trying to fix this.
I sort of think it shouldn't have been a choice, or maybe they should have made you pick one of three quests to do that result in the same person being the eventual choice, so that you see a different side of it with each playthrough. It's not a very satisfying choice, and now that 2 of the 3 characters have returned, not a very impactful one.PC-NA
