When ZOS wants to make a balance adjustment, why do they always overdo it like this?

Might you want to check if Bastion of the Heartland got a ninja buff, too?

Eh, I could take or leave this one tbh.

With all the multiplicative stacking, it diminishes anyway though.

They are so funny😂 why increase battlespirit mitigation by such a huge amount and then also offer so much mitigation everywhere else. Do one or the other. Hopefully do one or the other but less of which ever they chose. Because the mitigation proposed ATM looks mental. Even if it's just battlespirit.

I would rather have mitigation sets and heavy armor passives buffed than battle spirit increased.

If a player wants mitigation then they should be able to build for it, not go full damage and let Battle Spirit keep them from getting mowed down.

If I had to guess, they do this for the first iteration of the PTS so they can adjust lower if testing and the community warrant it. They essentially give themselves room for adjustments.

The problem is they rarely listen to the community on the PTS and seem to arbitrarily make adjustments indicative of the complaint post counts on the forums.

So from my experience, if you want something changed in the 3rd PTS cycle (historically the one with the most significant changes from the initial) You really need to boost a post with mass outcry.
    Here since Beta.

I am not so amused by these patches.

There are so many multiplicative sources of % damage reduction now that any that are 5% or less will get lost in diminishing returns.

They probably bumped it to 5% just so it keeps doing 3%, .

Can you imagine the response here to a "Buff Heavy Armor" post anywhere from 2016 to early 2021?

If I were to give an honest opinion on the qualification or lack thereof, or general job performance of the people making these changes, I would get dinged by a moderator for "bashing," no matter how mild the criticism.

Might you want to check if Bastion of the Heartland got a ninja buff, too?

I just checked, Bastion of the Heartland and Shield of the Valiant are both still at 3% while Blessing of the Potentates is at 5%. I do hope there is some mention of reasoning and/or they equalize the three or something in the upcoming weeks of PTS.

I wouldn’t hold your breath. We said the same thing when every crit bonus was nerfed from 3.8% to 3%, except Slimecraw 1pc stayed at 3.5%. Standardized rules are apparently made to be broken... at least it’s always easy to decide what to pair with a Mythic.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno :)

Both of those sets are also super weak after the Great Defensive Set Nerf Wave of 2020.

They need an additional 5-piece bonus at the very least but ideally they would receive total remakes. Bastion of the Heartland, in particular, would make a fabulous candidate for a group-buff set providing Minor Evasion.
