Endeavors - Dreugh don't count as Beasts for "kill 10 Beasts"

Dreugh are for all intents and purposes beasts, even if there is lore about the Dreugh supposedly ruling a previous/adjacent version of Tamriel or intelligent Dreugh living at the bottom of the sea, but even those source don't deny that they are beasts now (or just when they go on land for mating).
Accordingly, they should count towards your endeavor to kill beasts.

(I was in Stonefalls, at Vivec's Antlers trying to kill Dreugh for the Endeavor but didn't get any progress on it.)
Edit4: Nix-hounds, Mudcrabs, Netches, Guars, Spiders don't count either in Stonefalls.
I have now moved to Deshaan and there Wasps, Mudcrabs, Giant Snakes and Kagouti don't count. Bog Rats in Deshaan do count! I will expand this list as I come across more cases.
Edit 5: Across multiple zones only mammals count as "beasts", however trolls don't count as beasts either and they have fur!
Edit 6: Salamanders do not count towards it either, even though they drop Foul Hide. I was sure the Foul Hide was the actual condition behind it, but apparently not. This is a complete mess!

Yes, crustaceans, but crustaceans are beasts too, are they not? Not insectoids but beasts. As I understand, any dangerous animal is a "beast".This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.0 -

Then they should write that instead of using "beast". The Tamriel Beast Collector achievement lists several nonmammals too and there the word Beast is clearly used to describe all of them.This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.5 -

✭✭It's really misleading task - for me almost every monster is a beast. I killed bunch of Summerset ugly creatures but not even one of them was a beast apparently
It's just stupid trying to guess what devs have in mind. Just make tasks more specific like "kill 5 trolls"PC | EU | DC |Stam Dk Breton3 -

Agreed. Or they could just say "creatures with pelts", considering categories like "mammals" are kind of hard to place upon fictional beasts. Are Guars and Kagouti reptiles or are they technically birds because they are warm-blooded like the Dinosaurs? Who knows! But if the "Tamriel BEAST Collector" achievement includes several nonmammals, they should not call this endeavor "kill 10 beasts".This Bosmer was tortured to death. ✭I've been killing things all over Morrowind and haven't succeeded in getting a single one that classifies as a Beast.
Guar? Alit? Kagouti? Cliff Strider? Mudcrab? Netch? Spider? Dreugh? None of them count.
As far as I'm concerned *all* of those should be called Beasts.
So, more to the point, what IS a "beast"? Can somebody post something that DID count for the achievement?5 -

Sadly I am done with my endeavors today, but killing giant bats, werewolves and imps could be interesting to check if they are considered beasts. My guess is bats are beasts but imps aren't. Werewolves could be either.This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.0 -

That seems to be the case indeed.
Weirdly this achievement is more intuitive with what a "beast" should be.
