Did you test cloak on pts? Bc if they managed to get that working magblade would be buffed for the first time in like forever.
Tbh. They "fixed" bugs that were causing cloak to be unreliable and being interrupted by thing that were not supposed to...ZOS buffs stealth and makes abilities designed to counter stealth more useful. They also allow certain abilities that couldn't be used in stealth to now work without kicking you out. This means stealth is now stronger and requires more effort from people to pull you out of it.
Then OP says all these stealth buffs and counter plays is a nerf.... sigh
Fixed an issue where this ability and morphs’ protections could work even if the attacker had a detection potion active.

Can someone point out what I'm missing?
However the buff to the fighters guild skill is a bit concerning, we will have to see if the morph will be popular.

This skill is actually literally mathematically useless as it is on live right now, it's a good thing they buffed it. There is literally no reason to cast it for stealth detection EVER. It almost never works and in the very very rare case that it does, you were going to detect that person anyway due to proximity.
Consider this: currently on live it costs less stam to spam steel tornado, has a bigger radius, and deals damage with the cast, thus not wasting any GCDs.
Has anyone here actually tested what is happening? I ask because I see the PTS has been updated, or at least the patch notes have been published. Seeing how it works on the PTS will help create informed opinions for the changes.
I see this as a buff and I main a magblade. People are still going to prefer Camou Hunter or Inner Light for the damage. Passive Major Protection from Revealing Flare may cause more people to use that skill, but then again Major Protection is not what it used to be. When someone uses active detection properly and consistently in the current game, you're already screwed. These new rules aren't going to change the fact that detection skills require bar space. Many people either don't slot them or they don't use them well. I'm not too worried about the range and duration changes. We're also getting another +10% speed from red CP, so my magblade will be even faster without having to cast Race Against Time. I could be wrong, but this is probably for the best.

...and...
At the same time they buffed stealth counters by 20 - 30%
So by fixing bugs, stealth will be OP all of the sudden that it needs yet more counters ? I doubt it. I remember playing ESO before Elsweyr (the update in which they broke invisibility & stealth) and it was fine. No one complained about it back then.
It kinda feels wrong that "fixing a bug" = lets rebalance some stuff so that the bug fix won't be as noticeable...
I mean, I don't think we should count fixing bugs as "buffs". So that is why NBs see this mostly as a nerf. Because counters will be stronger.
