Now that we see so many adjustments to weapon and spell damage bonuses offering the same value, it begs the question why we have two stats that basically do the same? Many class skills, buffs and sets such as Molten Weapons, Drain Power, Surge, Betty Netch, Minor and Major Courage, New Moon Acolyte and Ancient Dragonguard offer great benefits to both stats at the same time. I feel like it all started with things like Major Resolve and Major Breach, conflating both physical and magical. We already see general boni like offensive penetration and critical chance.
The question is, where does all this lead to? If you follow down this path, you might as well generalise stamina and magicka into one resource. Where do you draw the line, do we even need to draw a line? Also, what would happen if stamina and magicka no longer increase your damage and are just what they originally where: resource pools?
