I use to play EQ when the trading was in a tunnel and people just say what wares they were selling. Then they added an actual Hub, but only so many people could use it and you had to compete with bots.
I wanted a central but then remember how inflated prices can be from the bots. I also play FF14 and hate there trading system after getting use to ESO, mainly again, fighting with bots.
I finally understand the way ESO works and almost the why.
Go play Path of Exile and let me know what you think after trading there. I'm not saying your thoughts aren't valid, just that ESO's Guild Traders aren't too bad when compared with some other games trading systems, especially ones you may not have playedamm7sb14_ESO wrote: »I've said it before and I'll say it again, ESO's trading system is the absolute worst and most non-sensical I have ever seen in any MMO I have ever played.

The fact that TTC is needed for PC in the first place showcases the problematic design of ESO's trading system, and highlights the need of a central trading center.
I just wish this game had a unified AH and no requirement for guild membership to participate.
I come from other MMOs (Like WOW) that have unified AH's and it's seamless in comparison to this model.

Then it's done. No ZOS dev involvement needed. If players want it to advertise their traders then done. This is no different that people posting in chats and forums about the items they have listed.
I personally like the current trading system due to how it promotes a competitive market. With an auction house all the deals would get snagged instantly, but with the current system someone has to physically go to the location to buy it.
a district that has tons of guild traders. Maybe even 50 or more. It would be a nice place to go shopping

OP isn’t suggesting an auction house though. Did you respond to the title without reading any of the post? It’s a short post, but I’ll make it even shorter for you. OP is asking for:a district that has tons of guild traders. Maybe even 50 or more. It would be a nice place to go shopping

I played fallout 76 where this open mic communication exists or at least existed. Hearing an argument in someone’s house on an open mic, or someone else’s music choice, or even them loudly sharing their political preferences… No thank you.

It's every zone capital has 5-6, plus the random small traders. ESO's system makes you do work if you want to buy, and that means peopoe can charge differing amounts based on location. You want quick and easy access? Go to Mournhold and pay the markup. YOu want a deal? Go track something down at a smaller trader at a crossroads.
Tamrieltradecentre.com does exist if you need to search.
... it exists for 33% of the player base. It does not exist for the majority of the players. Console players do not have an api to hit, and thus our data does not get added to TTC.
I would think that in some cases that is a blessing.
Flipping on console must be significantly more labour intensive - thus less prevalent - than on PC.
Besides you will never know the feeling of consistently 'arriving too late to the party', which is what I have been experiencing lately with the wretched Blackwood treasure maps.

People would simply get bored of searching trader after trader for stuff, so the guilds who got traders away from the wayshrine or whatever would get a small drip of customers.

Because they don't enjoy it THAT much! But heh, to each his own. I seriously doubt it makes a difference what any of us think about it, because it's highly unlikely it will ever change.
