Weapon swap, why can't i use the same weapon for both bars?

I am wondering if i want to use one shield and 1 sword for both bars how i do it? Everytime i try to move it down it moves but i only get one bar. Can anybody help or do i have to use two swords and two shields?

You can, however, swap between two weapons of the same type ...

Opioid✭✭✭Two swords and two shields I'd imagine. I haven't tried it myself since I swap between 1H/shield and 2H, but that would make sense.
It would be cool to see something like that in the future though, so you could have something like a PvE and PvP skill set for the same weapon, or single target/AoE damage sets etc.
I suppose there's also potential for someone to make an add-on that could swap to different sets of skills but I'm not sure that the modding API even supports it or if Zenimax would ever open it up enough to allow it.0 -

Yea true lol now onto my next dilemma of seeing if sorc tank in light armor with bound armor and boundless storm will work. Or if i am to get heavy armor. I am vr rank and so far levelled the dstaff, and now levelling the bow and one hand and shield line.0 -

✭✭You can swap between two identical weapons. I had two self-crafted identical to-the-bone lightning staves that I had on my swap.
Reason being, I'm OCD and seeing me pull a "different" staff out of nowhere would get on my nit-pick radar. I don't mind element change, so long as the staff is visually identical, so I can just RP it off as using my magicka to change it's element on the go.
Yeah, I would like to just swap skills with just one weapon. Oh, and as someone else pointed out, would love to be able to swap to unarmed as well!Edited by Lord_Hev on April 27, 2014 5:39AM0 -
Agree with OP!
1.: weapon swapping is just a setup, so why not be able to swap to the same weapon with other abillities
2.: If you just got a sick new 2hander and only got a green secondary 2hander for your swap, how lame is that?

MrSuplex✭✭Some of us have no desire to actually swap weapons, and just want the ability to utilize a second skill bar.
Where do we interact with the developers to give feedback? This seems like a simple change that could be implemented to improve quality of life for players.1
