Enemies Not Dying When They're Dead!!

Has anyone else noticed that lately there are times when you kill an enemy, but they don't actually go down right away... they stop moving, but continue to show health for a few seconds before they finally drop. It's quite annoying because I keep attacking and wasting resources until I realize that they're actually dead. Many times I know when my Companion stops attacking, that the enemy is actually dead.

    Yeah this has happened to both me and my mom, in different zones and entirely different enemies.
    Hoping for more playable races

    Happens in pvp cyro as well with players.

    Yeah it's been happening noticeably since Blackwood.

    For me, especially in the Blackwood zone. So it might be related to server lag.

    Not sure if it's the companions' damage registering late or not, I've been trying to level them to max for the collectible.

    Nah it happened to me in IC with NPC daedra mobs, no companions allowed there.

    I have noticed this health desync a lot more with Blackwood. It happens on both PC and XBox.

    This is an old, old bug that rears it's ugly head from time to time after a patch or hot fix. Not sure what happens but it seems ZOS recycles code that brings it back from time to time.

    I would say I've seen this happen at least a dozen times over the past 7 years and eventually it gets fixed.

    in Cyr I can die, respawn, port to another keep and still show a black bar at times.
    much less get out of combat and mount or open the keep door to get in before I die or type well:).

    It's just desync :smile: Made possible by Zenimax when they made Line of Sight check to be calculated on the server side.

    You must kill with the following combo: Light Attack > Executioner > sheath weapon.

    It's the legendary execute skill from 2hnd. I've been telling my PvP mates for years that it's bugged. You see yourself with more health and a server desynch occurs and you die to uppercuts you should be outhealing/rolling, but can't.....

    Well I KNOW that's not my problem since neither I, nor my Companion, are using that skill and it's still happening. Besides, my post is about NPCs not dying... when dead. So I think we're talking about two different things. As others noted, it's been happening since Blackwood release.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno Is anyone looking into this? From what others have said, it's happened before and was fixed with an update... looks like it was re-introduced. Or perhaps a new bug??

    A couple of times recently in IC I’ve been stealthed and, having finished my quest, in the process of porting out to Cyrodiil when I’ve been attacked. I then sustain enough damage to kill me, but I arrive with in Cyrodiil with at least part of my health intact. I’m not sure if that counts as a kill for my attacker or not.

    I usually can't use (single targeted) skills on those. It is strange doesn't feel good. Sadly it happens in Cyrodiil all the time and since a while I see that kind of behavior more and more in PVE, too.
