Maintenance for the week of November 25:
• PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 25, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 7:00AM EST (12:00 UTC)
• Xbox: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• PlayStation®: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)

Has anyone found the chain of the werewolf lead?

I take the silence to mean that it has not been fixed and given current pacing the earliest it could be fixed is two weeks from now.

The community manager's statement above indicates that they are working on fixing the problem, not that they have an actual fix ready for the problem. It also says they will "keep you updated on timing," which means that once they actually know when the fix they are still looking for is going to be ready, they will let us know at that time when they plan to patch it.

You are missing my point, given the information we have two more weeks would be the earliest we can hope for.

IDK about you, but when I buy something I don't expect it to get it a month after its release date.

This is an online video game. Bugs are to be expected and sometimes they may take longer to patch. It's not spaghetti.

Understanding and excusing are two different things. Stop trying to excuse the poor roll out of a piece of content.

ZoS should take this experience and improve for the future, but the community should not just roll over and ignore that something was poorly executed.

Just because this lead isn't dropping doesn't mean it's some horrible rollout. There is no way to have a bug-free launch.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but to many players antiquities had an objectively poor roll out this patch.

This lead is bugged and prevents access to the entire item.

Kilt had poor sourcing/drop chance and many players had to spend significantly more time farming this lead than what ZoS likely intended.

Gaze of Sithis had a lead source that I did not mind, but many players took issue with the 20h cooldown associated with the shadowy supplier.

If we want to expand to bugs the entire game had, the block bug was a massive issue.

Sure. But antiquities could be better and block bug did suck, no arguing there. But there was a LOT more content then just that. And most it went okay.

This patch really didn't have crazy more bugs than other game

Seeing how the bug seems to be on their end and not ours, it's not unreasonable to think they could fix it on the backend and not have to wait for a maintenance patch. I've seen plenty of cases where stuff was fixed on the down low without us being informed or requring a server reset. However, that would be contrary to the announcement that we would be notified when a fix would be coming for this particular issue. But then again, they have a track record of backtracking or doing different things than we are told... so, who knows.

Perhaps you weren't here for the Markarth release where people couldn't get the Voidmother quest and it's related achievements done for a month? You really should start expecting to not 'get what you paid for' after significant delays. It's the status quo with this company.

With most online games honestly. I can't think of any that launch a whole new expansion and not have any bugs to patch immediately after. Just gotta hope that bugs aren't to critical things really.

Games are so much bigger than they used to be. And they can't really delay the games launch without a ton of issues.

And then there's the stuff people usually only catch after launch.

I kinda miss the old days of more single player games that were one and done without any patching. But then again, bugs in those games stayed forever and ever without getting fixed. Outside of save files becoming corrupted because of them though, they were such nice experiences. Now even single player games require day 1 patches. Oh well. It it is what it is

It's very depressing (yet somehow not surprising) this exact same thing happened on the Public Test Server yet here we are, only discovering it is indeed bugged after more complaints post-launch. Pretty much every time I checked the Mythic/Antiquity topics there was a new "Where's this Werewolf lead?" post.

The lead was absent for the entire PTS yet it takes month/s later to get someone at ZOS to actually check? Surely somebody reported it so that's no excuse.

    Come on.

Do they actually read the PTS comments unless it's something specific they we're testing for..?

Alrighty, all. We've verified that this lead is not currently dropping in the game due a bug that we are now working to get fixed. We'll keep you updated on timing. Thanks in advance for your patience, and apologies for the wild goose (lead?) chase. We're so impressed by all the creative theories you all came up with in this thread!

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Hi Jessica, can you please provide an update on this lead? Is it still bugged? Do you know when a fix will be available? Thanks.

Most of the leads weren't found on PTS, because it seems that all anyone uses PTS for is parsing with new gear, not actually checking things work. Perhaps if they only provided new set items in the template containers during the final week of PTS people might spend a bit more time searching them out the hard way. No point complaining to ZoS about this making it through PTS when PTS was available to everyone for 5 weeks. Why didn't *you* spot this on PTS? Why didn't I? Because we weren't looking for it, that's why.

Honestly that's why most bugs make it through PTS, because players don't use PTS in the same way as they use the live servers. Not sure what the answer is but the blame isn't entirely zos's.

Bugs on PTS are reported by players, but they are all ignored by the company because they see PTS only as a vehicle for advertisment and generating hype. It's certainly not the players' fault.

In a seemingly UNBELIEVABLE move, it looks like the consoles actually got a fix before the PC:

"Fixed an issue that prevented the Chain of the Werewolf antiquity lead from dropping as intended."

From the patch notes for Xbox/PlayStation today!

I'm just happy it's a reasonable grind and not from the final boss of Moon Hunter Keep or March of Sacrifices or something.

Just a shame that we finally can get this Mythic and it's such an underwhelming piece of gear!

Underwhelming I suppose if you can use bone broth as a werewolf to achieve the same shortened transformation however this will work for vamps and necros as well as they have transformations. For necros especially a more rapid bone Goliath transform could be an advantage maybe in PVP or a Blood Scion for a vampire.

Chains of the Vampire dropped from Harrowstorms. I assume Chains of the Werewolf would come from some sort of activity involving werewolves and chains. Moon Hunter Keep comes to mind.
