Do shields keep your resistances after switching bars?

So if I use shields on 1 bar with lets say 20k resistances, and then switch bars to about 15k resistances, now the shield is keeping the 15k resistances or stays at where it was activated on 20k resistances no matter the bar switches?
Im actually a long time sorc and could never confirm or deny it.. anyone have an answer to this?

✭✭✭If you are referring to Damage shields, they do not have their own resistance so if you swap bar with a lower resistance then when you get hit it will apply mitigation with your current lower value, and not the one you may or may not have had when activating the damage skill.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Here's a related question: so damage shields do not inherit block mitigation but can anyone confirm via testing that they also inherit %-based mitigation mods such as Major or Minor Protection?
I have always assumed that they do since those mods are globally applied to the player but I'll admit that I've never tested it to conclusively find out.0 -
