Is it really necessary for you to be rude in pvp after you kill another player?

I don't think this is true. Every competitive game has some form of banter, in ESO this is that.

Now if they were to whisper you insults, threats, or just mocking you, I'm confident that is against ToS.

Complaining about how someone celebrates their win in a digital environment is absurd.
They include it in their ToS as more of an obligation and a deterrent.
Rarely (even in extreme and repeated cases) would t-bagging be considered harrassment by any reasonable adult.

Is it. In fact, I believe a community manger last year commented on the issue.

What a sad state of affairs online gaming has come to.

Maybe I'm just getting too old idk but I dont think I want to live in a world where reasonable adults take genuine offense to video game avatar gestures in a "competitive" environment. Being a good sport and harmless trash talk (or the video game equivalent of) are not mutually exclusive.

I'll be frank with you. I know someone who lives with assault trauma and rather than hide in a closet they choose to get out there and socialize online as much as they can stand to. I don't care how innocent a lot of people try to make it, when you boil it down to basics, teabagging is mimicking the action of rubbing your genitalia on someone that is helpless to stop you. There have been more than one person that has expressed that being subject to this feels violating and brings back feelings of trauma from past assaults. I know one person who has been permanently put off of PvP for exactly this one reason, because it's not safe for them *only because of the people who insist on teabagging*. So you tell me who's less reasonable: Someone who hates seeing a friend get traumatized by someone else's gesture of disrespect and dominance, or someone who thinks their right to mime rubbing their junk on someone is more important than any harm that they could accidentally do to a stranger whose history they have no knowledge about? Which is more of a loss, forgoing one stupid gesture or forgoing an entire portion of the game because people insist on doing that one stupid gesture?

Where? Show me in the terms of service where it says anything about teabagging? It's a harassment clause that covers a broad range of things, teabagging someone once or twice wont get you banned. However going out of your way to do it after they asked you to stop could be considered harassment. Teabagging it's self is not against any term of service. Thats a rumor thats been around for years. Just don't be a *** head and you don't gotta worry. Teabag away, especially if they did it first. But if someone says they are not about it, then knock it off and you will be good. On the flip, under the same rule if someone teabags you and you flip out about it and go out of your way to dog someone for it then you could get banned too.

This is the only comment on it and it doesn't say teabagging it's self is in the terms of service at all and in fact makes it a point to mention context mattering.

I rarely see the repetitve squat emote in grey host at all anymore, on either ps4 server...

if I see an ally doing it, I redguard dance next to them, looks funny...

in small scale, i'm a pretty annoying guy to try to siege against, before you flag me, I'll keep lighting your siege on fire, once the keep is flagged i'm gonna dump oil and hit you with cold-fire or a lance..I can slow small groups (6 or less) up to a good 10 to 15 minutes...

I'll usually die around my oils, still - never get bagged or slammed ( :) )

Anybody reading this SHOULD have sympathy for your friend.

...but expecting an entire community to change a very common and (for all intents and purposes) very harmless behavior because of a small number of players who have suffered a trauma is beyond ridiculous.

This game offers plenty a ways to play.

My guess is that pvp isn't meant for everyone.

But again... where are these players that have been suspended for bagging?
Not one forum goer for as long as I have been lurking apparently.
Not one person in any guild that I'm apart of.
Not one enemy that I regularly run into in Cyrodiil. (...and I know those guys are toxic af lmao)

It's. Not. Enforced. (And for good reason)

The world doesn't bow to you.

Pvp is competitive. It's personal. It's frustrating. Infuriating. Unfair.
    ...but it's glorious. And exciting.
It appeals to our basic instincts.
To fight. To win. Conquer. Dominate.

The desire to humiliate and disrespect an opponent is at the least poor sportsmanship, which should not be encouraged and at the worst toxic behaviour, which should be punished. It show a marked lack of self control and makes you look like a pathetic ***, not the dominant overlord you think it does. Most of the players who bag weren't even in on the kill. Its just sad, weak, losers trying to make themselves feel better.

Those of you who think its harmless are chipping away at the social contract. This is a game, yes, but moderately civilised behaviour should be expected at minimum. PVP loses new players constantly because of actions like this.

Have some self respect and learn to behave like a leader and a champion.

I think the one that I laughed at the hardest, was when a whole group kept killing me in BGs and using the chair emote thing. They all just sat on my corpse. I take it as a win, that they are wasting time doing that to me, for whatever reason and not killing my team.

I also go out of my way to kill players actively t-bagging team members, or to avenge them if I saw it and remember the players name.

Speaking of whispers... I was on a noob alt a few days ago. I was standing outside the Harbourage derping when some rando invited me to duel. I declined because I'm really not into that type of gameplay. But this rando precedes to spam me duel invites. After being declined about 10 times, the rando whispers me. Calls me a b-word, a hoe, and makes sure to tell me that my character's appearance sucks (wut? lol). I ignored ofc but still amazes me that some people would go that far over declined duel invites.

The level of toxicity some people resort to is astounding. It's childish behaviour that some people can't seem to grow out of it :disappointed:

I can second this. I rarely ever hear of it or see it happening on PS. Actually, compared to when I first started playing, I've seen a decrease in toxic behaviour in general. There's still some jerks out there ofc.

No one is forcing you to turn your computer on, get in game, get in a competitive environment with strangers on the internet and stare at a virtual character crouching and standing up. It has as much meaning as you give it. Actively punishing it wouldn't stop the intent from bad people to be rude, in whatever other way. It's the internet.

It's pixels on screen. Look away. Turn your monitor off. Play a different game. You're as upset as you allow your mind to be.

Stalking, harassing and sending awkward whispers is a different subject, but, it's nothing that a mature, fully grown, mentally stable person can't handle.

Cryodiil seems okay though. So many people there it is hard to even remember a toxic player for long.
