Blackwood world boss War Chief Zathmoz

When the chapter released myself as well as many others killed one or multiple world bosses and upon their deaths didn't receive acknowledgement for that, preventing progression in the zone achievement. In my case it was War Chief Zathmoz in the Toad-Tongue War Camp.
Since then I have returned multiple times with the character I am having an issue with and tried various things to accomplish this task including killing him with and without each companion summoned and all addon's turned off but to no avail.
To see if it was an account wide issue I brought another character over and upon his death I received immediate acknowledgement for his death and the achievement on that character was updated. This leads me to believe that something occurred during the initial character interaction preventing the update and the game is now unsure how to process the kill.

✭✭✭This boss has some sort of bug with it or perhaps a very unusual mechanic that is not easily evident. I fought the boss with the same character for six times the other night and the achievement/quest did not register until that sixth time. I have no idea what was different that time than during the previous five times. It does not seem to be related to killing the two lesser bosses before or after killing the main boss. Maybe it has something to do with that mechanic where he raises his sword and increases his size. I'm not sure. Whatever it is, the designer did not communicate the mechanic or play test the boss.0 -

✭I’ll keep saying it - this guy is Shademother 2.0.
- Killing him doesn’t always register
- Respawning can take up to 30 mins
The similarity I see between the two WB is that they both have a big aoe phase where they cannot be damaged. Perhaps something in that mechanic is/was bugging them out (as Shademother got fixed).2 -
mronkain✭✭Same here. I've had trouble getting the quest done for at least three times now. Sometimes he spawns right away, sometimes it takes ages and it takes 1 to n times to get the kill registered. And this is a daily quest recurring quite often so PLEASE GET THIS FIXED ASAP!1

joerginger✭✭✭✭✭This boss in not alone with its buggy behaviour. Last Sunday we had the same issue with the Silent Halls group event in Blackwood. We killed it, but it didn't count for any of us. Then it took an eternity to respawn. At least it counted the second time it was killed.0

tomfant✭✭✭✭No nerf please. 99% of the overland mobs and bosses are hardly more than just an annoyance. This is one of the few that offers a bit of a challenge. Be aware of the mechs and play em properly. Makes it a lot easier....0
