Completely stumped -- how to take decorations out of inventory?

I have the Level 18 bed in my inventory, but I have no idea how to get it OUT of my inventory and onto the floor of my dwelling. Same with a painting I have. They are in the Furniture tab, but I see no way to get them out of my inventory. If I try to drag them out, the only option I get is to destroy them.

Can someone please help with this very basic information? I've been looking on line but all of the guides assume I already know how to do this.

When you're in one of your homes, you should see the button prompt on the lower edge of your screen that opens the Housing Menu. (It's Right on the D-Pad + B at the same time, on Xbox)

From there, you can scan through the menus to place any furnishings and whatnot you have available.

If you can't find the prompt I'm talking about, just check your Controls (in Settings) to see what the keybind is for your platform / controller layout.

This one thinks then you hit F5 when in a house.

You can then browse to the item you wish to place and then place it.
