How is this not insanne? we waste hours of our life for nothing? No thank you.

it's a shame i would gladly pay crowns for that torchbug. but never in my life will i face this hell again, last year was enough for me.
Free crowns gems, at the very least, that's the reason.PizzaCat82 wrote: »(...) why I should watch for more than an hour of some stranger spoiling the game I'm gonna get on the 8th? (...)

Many streamers that stream ESO are not exclusive to it either, but regardless, when they do it absolutely counts for viewership and engagement which is the point. What you said about a lot of the higher engagement streamers is true as well, and it's something I hope ZoS takes seriously, that is literally money walking out the door in one way or another.Canned_Apples wrote: »Fen doesn't count because he streams several games and isn't dedicated to ESO.
A simple analogy would be, Fen uses a large to catch fish, while others, like deltia etc, use a spear, dagger, or rock...
A lot of popular streamers and youtubers have also abandoned the game because of the many unpopular changes, streamers like dottz now play different mmos and have taken their viewers.

The way they designed the giveaway seems to be a way of encouraging people to watch several different streamers. I'm not saying that's why they decided to do it this way, mind you; only ZOS knows that. But my recommendation would be to pick a streamer who has a smaller number of viewers-- assuming they have codes for the torchbug-- so you'll presumably have a better chance at winning.
I'm just grateful that we'll be able to earn one dropped crate each day of the event. Now that I can cheer for!

Usually streamers don't play spoiling content before console gets the release. I remember that when Greymoor PC release happened they were all just scrying/excavating around.
I don't see the issue.
It's a pet so not a big deal, and it helps ZOS by getting ESO higher up on twitch, and helps streamers as it helps build an audience that might stick around afterwards which helps their channel grow.

1 crate each day , so 6 days = 6 crates that reward like 6-10 gems each, but it takes some weeks to even receive the crates.

New players when they start the game have no free quests or anything to even reward pets outside izak.
but ignoring the new players.
All my pets SUCK , that reward pet is legit perfect for me. In a ROLEPLAYING GAME , a perfect pet means a LOT to people.
Teasing people with limited time rng content they can't have even with rl money is just uncool.
